Unlike many lakefront rentals that require navigating steep hills or dozens of stairs, Loon Call Cottage offers an easy walking path to the shore. Tucked away on a quiet dead-end road, this is the perfect retreat base for romantic escapes, girlfriend getaways, or one-on-one time with your teen. When off the water, guests comment how much they love the private back deck, hot tub, super comfy beds, and well-equipped kitchen.

• THE SETTING
*Located on a peaceful neighborhood road with virtually no traffic, the cottage offers a private, sunny atmosphere backed by woods on 3 sides. A flat, semi-private lane leads you directly to our shared lake launch access—no steep hills, cliffs, or stairs to climb.

• LAKEFRONT & LIFESTYLE
* Easy Water Access: Launch your canoe, kayak, or paddle-board directly into the water in the "Middle Lake" section (across from Treasure and Bass Islands.)

* The "Loon Serenade": Our coveted lake has a very healthy loon population of approximately 20 adult males and females. You’ll be amazed by their hoots, yodels, tremolos, and wails, each distinct in meaning and purpose. They return year after year to feed in our crystal clear waters, breed, and raise their precocious chicks. If you miss hearing them during the day, listen outdoors an hour or so after sunset, and again close to midnight for their serenading sounds — truly unforgettable!


• THE COTTAGE
* Enjoy the entire cottage for yourselves with private rear parking and deck entry: Features a King Bedroom (all linens provided for the Casper Cooling Hybrid mattress), a full shower bath, and a cozy living area with French doors opening on to the front porch/deck - 2 rocking chairs await your relaxation. The fully equipped eat-in kitchen is well-stocked for most any cooking style.

* Outdoor Living: A large wrap-around deck features an outdoor dining set, Green Egg grill, and a 4-person saltwater hot tub.


• PREMIUM AMENITIES
* Climate Controlled: Ductless split dual header AC and Heat in living and bedroom.

* Fully Stocked: We provide all household needs, from bedding, linens, bath and beach towels to shampoo, conditioner, body soap, trash bags, dish detergent, sponge, dish towels, place mats, and more. Basic kitchen essentials include condiments, salt/pepper and other spices, and coffee supplies. Forgot your toothbrush? No worries, we always leave a set in the bathroom.

* Pre-Arrival Provisioning: Save time and skip the stores! Reserve 2 weeks in advance for a nominal fee; we'll pick-up your local grocery order and have in the cottage for your arrival.


IMPORTANT HOUSE NOTES
* Age Policy: To maintain a serene atmosphere, we are unable to host children under the age 13.

* Pet Policy: No pets allowed (sorry, not even small well-behaved ones).

* The View: While directly across the road from the lake, summer foliage can obscures 80% of water views from the cottage itself. But oh the sounds of those loons (and local resident barred owl!) cannot elude you.

* Booking: Summer rentals are weekly. Arrivals are available Thursday, Friday, or Saturday. EXCEPTION: July 4th Holiday Week flex check in/out and an occasional last minute opening.

* Cleaning: 100% of the cleaning fee is paid to our local, woman-owned cleaning business. We understand fees are high but staffing supply is very limited. Thank you for supporting our community!

* **Hot Tub: We strive for 100% availability. However we cannot guarantee it, or provide any refunds, if prior guests have not followed the pre-rinse requirements. Be sure to read them posted on the refrigerator after your arrival.
NOTE: the $350 hot tub cleaning fee is fully refundable after checkout so long as you have followed the hot tub rules clearly posted on the refrigerator. This includes shower pre-rinsing of lotions and soap residue as well as sand from feet in the foot bath outside the tub. We have never had a problem except for one bad egg, which necessitated us unfortunately having to collect this in advance. If you’re a considerate rule follower, you’ll have no trouble receiving the $350 refund! Thank you so much in advance, reach out anytime with questions or concerns!
