The Hitching Post in Alton

Western living at its finest, enjoy a stay in a real horse barn! It is a perfect mix of modern and rustic. With hand crafted kitchen cabinets from reclaimed barn wood. Hardwood floors custom milled from local trees. The tile in the bathroom and finished wood flooring in the bedroom give it a touch of modern. Authentic decor throughout the space gives it a homey Western feeling. You don't want to miss out on the deck. It is the perfect place to spend quiet evenings gazing at the stars.

The Hitching Post is an apartment inside of a horse barn. The kitchen was custom built from barn wood and locally milled trees. The main living room has a 42-inch Roku t.v. Two queen beds in a large shared bedroom. The bathroom is spacious and boasts a large shower.

Guests have access to the entire living space. They can also park inside the barn.

The Hitching Post is located in a quiet town with no amenities. Google Maps and Apple Maps do not work well in this area. There are animals next to The Hitching Post, and sometimes in the barn, so noise from animals and equipment used in feeding the animals should be expected.

Horseback is best, but vehicles will do as well.

We are located in a very rural area, with limited cell service. The closest restaurants and grocery store are located in Orderville UT which is 20 minutes south of us. We recommend bringing groceries with you!
