This is a wonderful gem in the hill country! We enjoyed the porch swing and watching the wildlife. The cabin is cozy and inviting, and being on the outskirts of town meant just a short drive to shopping and restaurants. We visited Enchanted Rock and took in the beautiful views from the top. We also enjoyed a lovely chat with Tom as he passed by the cabin. If you’re looking for a quiet, comfortable, and fun place to call home away from home, this is it!

Perfect Weekend Getaway

Happy Trails is a perfect getaway place. The views are beautiful. The cabin is cozy. It's like taking a step back in time and it reminds you to enjoy yourself and relax and that's what we did. This was our second time to stay here and we will definitely stay there again. If you enjoy the rustic look this place is perfect. The cabin is very well kept.

Happy Trails

The cabin was amazing. The quiet and peace from the everyday was just what was needed. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing the wildlife just outside the cabin. Tom and Kay were the sweetest. The homemade cookies, fruit and pastries were a very welcoming touch. We cannot wait to go back!

This was exactly what we were looking for. Slightly outside of Fredericksburg, but close enough to visit. The cabin was very clean and inviting. The cabin felt warm and comfortable as soon as we walked in. Our host was very kind and helpful. The welcome plate of fruit and cookies was an extra thoughtful touch of kindness. Highly recommend.

Happy Trails Cabin

Love this cabin. It's always well maintained and clean. Very comfortable with everything you would need. I've stayed here several times as I love the peaceful atmosphere, the big porch with the swing and rocking chairs. The animals will come and visit and the donkeys will let you love on them. The owners are very friendly and I love visiting with them. The wonderful treats left on the table and in the refrigerator are very yummy. Awesome cabin

Another fun stay at Happy Trails Cabin

As best we can recall this was our 14th year to stay at Happy Trails and each year it seems to get better. Its fun to sit and watch the animals and simply listen to the "quiet."

Best cabin ever

Beautiful place to stay. Everything was perfect. The front porch was a favorite for sitting out and watching the deer and livestock. Out of all the cabins I've stayed at so far this is my favorite. I will definitely go back.

Oh, my - where to start?! We were met with homemade goodies on the table and in the frig, a lovely start to our Fredericksburg getaway A personal note left by the host gave us a genuine welcome. The truly vintage log cabin is so very cozy - with the night temps in the 20s, the gas fireplace was warm and delightful. The lovely loft bedroom was the best way to cap the evening. Just a short drive to the Fredericksburg Auslander restaurant, hiking Enchanted Rock, and wineries galore, we will certainly be back to this enchanted getaway!
