We enjoyed a spectacular extended weekend at this property! The home was amazing with its expansive views of Puget Sound and the San Juan Islands, and in the distance to the south, the Olympic Mountain Range. Newly constructed decks off the main living area and a private deck off the fabulous master suite were so inviting, and drew us immediately to enjoy the incredible scenery. My 18 yr old son (a man of few words), said the views were his favorite memory, and we all agreed. Watching the many deer families cautiously venture and forage on the front lawn in early morning and evening was one of my favorite memories, especially a mother with two young fawns (still with spotted coats) running through the yard, playing joyfully with mother close by. The home itself is spectacular, with an incredible master suite below, along with additional two bedrooms and a separate gorgeous bathroom. Upstairs, a peaceful bedroom retreat with access to the huge upper deck (all bedrooms will soon have direct deck accesses as construction finishes are complete) was an incredible way to see dawn rise over he water, to watch amazing sunsets or the spectacular stars at night. The kitchen area is beyond belief, and was perfect for us to prepare meals for a large gathering one night, and quiet family meals the next. A relaxing family room on the main level was a perfect retreat for many, with an enchanting sun room separating it from the main living area. Although our short stay did not allow us to venture much beyond the home, there are so many things to experience in nearby Bellingham & Fairhaven, or a short drive to Larrabee State Park, Anachortes for a San Juan Ferry journey, or on to Whidbey Island and Deception Pass State Park, all within 30 minutes. I would highly recommend a longer stay than ours (3 days) to truly have time to enjoy the home and venture to some of the nearby sights. If you like waterfalls, you will be totally enchanted with the private waterfall and entrance walkways at the property. The Master Suite shower looks out over waterfall as well! Some things you just have to see to believe. A stay at this property is one of those experiences you will not soon forget. We will be back! Note: As the owner has mentioned, parking is limited, so if you plan on any group gathering, be sure to organize a person to shuttle folks from Bellingham, Fairhaven or Larrabee St Park (Discover pass is required at the park). This worked great for us!
