Nestled among the trees on Lake Whatcom's hillside, this property offers all the amenities you need for an unforgettable family and friends vacation. We warmly welcome your pets for a fee of $75 for first, $50 for second- with a maximum of 2 pets (subject to approval), and there's even a fenced-in dog run on the property to keep them safe.

The upper floor boasts a spacious open living area, perfect for hosting gatherings. A custom dining table near the kitchen encourages sociable cooking, and the living room with a 55" TV and soundbar ensures everyone can join in the conversations. A deck with a table and chairs for 6 is also available if you prefer outdoor dining with the Weber BBQ.

All the bedrooms are conveniently located on this level. The master bedroom offers scenic lake views and a private bathroom. Down the hall, you'll find the guest bathroom and room, along with the custom bunk room featuring a full-size bed, bunk, and a hanging chair. Smart TVs in all bedrooms ensure entertainment options are at your fingertips, thanks to high-speed WiFi.

Head downstairs to the media room equipped with a projector connected to a Roku device. Sink into the comfortable large sofa for a family movie night and make fresh popcorn with the machine. There's another full bathroom on this level for added convenience. If it's game time, project the game onto the screen and enjoy some foosball action. The hot tub awaits just outside this room on the deck, along with the fire pit platform, providing plenty of choices to suit your mood during your stay.

Patricia was such a wonderful, kind, and helpful host and she was extremely responsive with questions we had (leading up to and during our stay). We absolutely loved this home perched high above the lake and in the trees - it felt so private in this neighborhood. We were staying over the Christmas and New Year holidays and the house was even decorated with a tree and festive tableware - this was so thoughtful and we settled right in. Additionally, we were treated to an incredibly generous welcome basket with delicious treats for both the humans AND dogs - we love finding gems like this that go the extra mile.My favorite memories of this stay were landing on the downstairs couch with hot chocolate and a movie on the projector - it was extremely cozy. Additionally the hottub with an incredible view couldn't be beat - truly.

Overall everything was exactly as described and priced perfectly for what was provided. One odd quirk that’s not big enough to reduce the 5 star rating- if you are 5’10 or taller- the shower head in the primary bathroom is too low and you need to duck to shower. Otherwise, nice neighborhood and lake views, access to community trails and a small beach, and a comfy home.

Even better than the pictures

This may just be the best vacation rental we've been to! The house was picture perfect, the surroundings were tranquil and awe-inspiring, and our stay was cozy and relaxing! 4 adults and two kiddos (ages 7 &9) had plenty of space to spread out, relax, and get cozy for holiday movies. Check in and communication were top notch! 11/10 would stay here again in a heartbeat :D

Great getaway

This was a great find! The property was very clean, check in easy and the property owners very responsive. It is a 5 minute walk to the beach (no pets allowed) and has a great view of the lake. We enjoyed the special touches such as the welcome basket, smores kit, and treats for the dogs.

Great place with views of lake. Very comfortable and accommodating.

We enjoyed the house with hot tub, lake view, fire pit and comfortable beds. The kids enjoyed the foosball table and movie room. We also enjoyed taking the kayaks out on the lake. Fortunately we had amazing weather while there in October. Appreciated the wine and complimentary s’mores.

Great spot, beautiful views, hard with dog

Loved the house and the beautiful views. Relaxing in the hot tub each night while we looked at the lake was great. Beds were incredibly comfortable. Only downside of the house was that the “dog run” was really just a small gravel patch fenced in with gates that didn’t close and latch. Would stay here again for sure, but was not as convenient while having a dog so would not if we had to have the dog with us. Overall, beautiful spot with very responsive and helpful owners. The master bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in.

Great Lake house!

What a great house in a quiet neighborhood! Perfect for us and our 2 little dogs. Hot tub was great. Very comfortable. Beautiful views of the lake! The Browns were very responsive and great accommodating hosts! Will highly recommend to family and friends!

Wedding week

We visited Bellingham for our daughter’s wedding and this was the perfect place to call home for the week. The entire house was beautiful as well as the views! The hot tub was great for relaxing after a long day and our grandson loved the movie room. We will definitely be back!

Great stay

We enjoyed our stay at this home. It has everything you need and the two family rooms were nice as one of the group had to work a bit so he went downstairs and couldn’t hear us upstairs. We didn’t get to the beach as it rained almost the entire time we were there, but it didn’t seem like a long walk. The hot tub is covered, which was a nice touch. The host was very responsive.

Memorable Wedding Anniversary

We (husband/wife/dog) found this to celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary. Desiring peace, quiet and quality time. The home was spotless clean! Safe area. So extremely quiet and peaceful. The hot tub, fireplace, and gorgeous, serene views were exactly what we wanted. We enjoyed exploring around Mount Baker and enjoyed the local restaurants and market. The hosts were very gracious and informative. Such a wonderful expeerience! We will be back!

This place is amazing!!!

We had a girls trip/retreat and we loved this house. The place is wonderful and the views and amenities were superb. The photos on the listing are awesome but still don’t do this home justice. The master bedroom bed was like sleeping on a cloud. I don’t sleep well and i woke so refreshed everyday. I would certainly stay here again! The hosts thought of everything! Thank you!

Fantastic location, great house

We loved our stay here, it was just as advertised, lake water was warm and very accessible. Owners were helpful and very responsive to questions. The location allowed our sons' friends to come out from Seattle for the day or just an overnight with us, while also allowing our family to just spend time together without others around The only challenge we had was that the dog run area was gravel and the gates wouldn't latch due to fence posts warping, so we ended up sending our dog home after the first night. But that's more about our dog than the house/dog run.

Comfortable stay in beautiful surroundings

The home is beautifully located above Whatcom Lake near Bellingham. Although it was quite chilly during our stay, the hot tub and fireplaces kept us quite toasty after long walks through woods and along the lakeside. I would highly recommend a trip into Bellingham to stock up on groceries. While you are there stop by Henderson Books, a surprisingly well-stocked used bookstore with something for everyone. Also take a drive down the rugged coastline along the Chuckanut Drive. Take some hiking boots because you will want to stop by one of the many scenic overlooks and walk down the trail to the waterfront. Our family really enjoyed our time there.

Heart house & amazing views

We had a great stay here! The house was easy to find, clean when we arrived and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. You can't beat the lake views. Deer were all over the neighborhood at dusk and dawn. The walk down to the lake is easy and short, we loved having access to the kayaks. One thing to note is that you cant access the lake from the house. Some pictures show stairs but that is a neighbors property. We also would have appreciated a griddle or something larger for cooking breakfast, but the kitchen is well equipped overall. We had a great time here and hope to stay again sometime!

Absolutely amazing experience!

Incredible property, breathtaking views, and amazing hosts. We have stayed at close to 100 short term rentals over the years, and this one is easy top 2 for us. The house is beautifully decorated and impeccably maintained. They had an awesome welcome basket, and the kitchen is stocked with all the basics you need…including actual coffee so I didn’t have to wake up and drag myself to the store first thing in the morning (one of my biggest pet peeves in a VRBO). The setting is breathtaking. Waking up to those views each morning just fills your soul. The house is in a neighborhood, but the way it’s situated, when you’re in the house you feel like you’re the only house on the lake. We will 100% be back!

Beautiful views and lovely home

We were in town for a wedding and loved the large kitchen and living space. Peaceful spots to sit (both decks and dining/living rooms have gorgeous views.) The home sits on a steep hill, giving it a superior vantage point on the lake. I enjoyed walking our dog on the hilly street —an extra workout for my calves. The amenities available to guests (pool, golf, dog park, beach) are a very short drive away. Wedding activities prevented us from taking advantage of anything but the club restaurant and the market down the road. The video area on lower level impressed the young people who visited us for an afternoon and having separate areas was fabulous! House is modern, comfortable and impeccably clean and well appointed. I’d absolutely stay here again (unless I really needed lakeside access at all times for some reason.)
