Welcome to Twin Oaks Lodge — a private, resort-style mountain estate by Woods & Waves Vacation Homes, just 10 miles southwest of Asheville.
This is the kind of place you book for a milestone weekend, a multi-family getaway, or a “we never all get together anymore” trip—and it delivers. Tucked on five wooded acres with mountain views, Twin Oaks Lodge was designed for groups who want both togetherness and true breathing room: two pools, a speakeasy lounge, a theater-style game level, firelit patios, and multiple bedroom wings so everyone can retreat when they want quiet.
And it’s not a “managed from afar” rental. I’m Kristi, the owner, and we personally maintain Twin Oaks Lodge and stay here ourselves to keep it immaculate. It’s smoke-free and dander-free, and you’ll feel the care in how the home presents and performs.
The Twin Oaks Experience
Start your morning slow: coffee in the great room as the light pours through the windows, or on the deck with nothing but birdsong and tree-lined views. Spend the day exactly how your group wants—swimming indoors while it rains, sunbathing by the outdoor pool with the mountains in front of you, grilling and making pizza on the patio, then rotating between pool tournaments, arcade battles, poker hands, mah jongg, and movie night in theater recliners.
As the evening settles in, Twin Oaks becomes what guests love most: a place to gather. A crackling wood fire on the lawn, a glass of wine in the speakeasy, kids laughing in the gaga ball pit, and everyone ending the night in the hot tub under the stars.
This isn’t just where you sleep. It’s where your best memories happen.
Why Groups Choose Twin Oaks Lodge
Secluded, but easy
You’re in a peaceful, private setting with easy roads and quick access to Asheville’s food, breweries, and culture—without feeling like you’re “in town.”
Two pools, all seasons
Indoor pool heated year-round to 84°F (pool room kept cozy at 86°F)
Outdoor pool with mountain views (open April 1–October 1, not heated)
Designed for 24 guests without feeling crowded
Bedrooms are spread across four separate wings/areas, giving couples, grandparents, and kids their own zones.
Entertainment that actually entertains
A true lower-level “fun floor” with a speakeasy lounge, game room, and home-theater seating—plus the kind of outdoor setup that keeps groups outside together.
Your Spaces (What It Feels Like)
Great Room Living
Sink into leather seating by the stone fireplace (seasonal), with mountain views as the backdrop. The 85” smart TV anchors movie nights and big games—just bring your streaming logins.
Chef’s Kitchen & Dining (Built for Real Groups)
Meals at Twin Oaks are a highlight, not a hassle. You’ll have the space and equipment to cook for a crowd, then gather in multiple dining zones.
Two full-size refrigerators (drinks + groceries for 24)
Six-burner propane range with large oven
Full coffee & tea bar: Keurig, Nespresso, French press, grinder, beans, teas, Nespresso pods, K-cups, sugars
Seating options: island for 6, dining table for 10–12, window seating for 4, plus outdoor dining for up to 24
Game Room, Theater, and Speakeasy Lounge
Your group’s favorite hangout is usually the lower level.
Speakeasy-style lounge with bar seating and conversation area
Game room with pool table, arcades, shuffleboard, foosball, poker table, movie theater recliners, and more
Mah jongg set provided (please bring your own cards)
Massage chair for the ultimate post-hike (or post-pool) reset
Yoga mats for a quiet morning stretch
Outdoor Living That Feels Like a Private Resort
Twin Oaks was made for outdoor time.
Massive covered deck + spacious patio with plenty of seating

Two fire pits: propane gas on the patio + wood-burning on the lawn
Two grills + pizza oven (plumbed to house propane—no tanks to swap)
Gaga ball pit and outdoor games
Creek frontage on the property edge for wandering and exploring

Zu Gast bei Kristi at Woods and Waves Vacation Homes
Hi, I’m Kristi! I’m a mom of four great adults, and a proud grandmother who believes life is meant to be filled with good people, fun, and faith. Our vacation homes are designed for everyone—families, friends, and groups—who want to relax, reconnect, and make memories that last long after checkout.
I’ve been hosting for over five years and genuinely enjoy welcoming guests into our vacation home. From thoughtful touches to responsive communication, guest satisfaction is always my top priority. Whether you’re celebrating something special or simply getting away to unwind, my goal is for you to feel cared for, comfortable, and completely at home.
I’d be honored to host you, your family, and your friends!
