Love Shack private retreat

Come stay in the good vibes of the Love Shack. Built for one of my sons and his sweet love to escape his mother's hearing range.... It was built to be inviting to snuggle up in and enjoy. The cottage is comfortable and charming with a newly added bathroom and kitchen area. The back deck faces the morning sun, where you can sit and drink your morning, coffee . Walking distance to shops and restaurants in Middletown. All folks, races, LGBT friendly.

This is my charming get away cabin with a loft and deck facing the morning sun. It’s in a private spot with a 6’ tall wooden privacy fence between it and the main house.
You will be right in Middletown just a five minute walk to the brewery, La Parilla Mexican and delicious BudhaThai restaurant. Three miles to Harbin!

Access to 24/7 WiFi, Which I recently upgraded so it is working better than ever.

For all of you who stayed here previously, last summer I moved the Goats and Chickens, and built a covered back deck to keep it cooler in the summer and give you an awesome place to sit outside on the deck in the shade! Sadly the animals are now behind my house instead of the Love Shack. But you can still see birds and an occasional fox in the riverbed.

The downstairs mattress is a new, memory foam queen-size bed. Upstairs is a loft with a twin size memory foam mattress for a third person. I do request that if you have a third person with you, you validated they are agile and secure with climbing to the loft.

We welcome fun and funky people, LGBT, gay, straight, quiet, meditative folks, yoga practitioners, construction workers, far out hippies, college students, and people of all genres however unique or mainstream. I live next door and can offer suggestions for activities in the area.
Harbin is available to book massages and watsu through.

If you are wanting to bring a pet of any kind, please make sure you have gotten my written approval. I generally only approve small, non shedding, well trained dogs that will never be left alone for this place. I have another listing, called the "Well House", which is next door, fenced, and more suitable for bigger dogs.

Guests have the whole space, plus deck facing the morning sun, to themselves. Nice and private, (except for Juniper, my goat, who may say hi if you go out on the deck).

Middletown is a small but thriving community. We embrace, the Harbin New Agers, old back to the earth "hippies", migrant farm workers, ranchers, the Tribe and casino, artists, and many spiritual communities close by. The Valley Fire in 2015 has brought us together in ways we could not have imagined. It is a pleasure to live here and feel the community grow together.

Walk to the brewery, Thai restaurant, Middletown Art Center, Library, Senior center, two Mexican restaurants, and two morning breakfast cafes. Calistoga with all it's restaurants, mud-baths, hot springs, cryotherapy and stores is 20 minutes away. Amazing hiking is 10 minutes away at Robert Louis Stevenson park, or Anderson Marsh. Biking and hiking up at Boggs Forest. And, the ineffable, Harbin Hot Springs is three miles away.
