This is a beautiful property for a quiet getaway or family gathering! This was our second year staying here and it did not disappoint! Host was amazing to work with, property was clean and had everything available you might need and location is perfect to great restaurants and shopping. Highly recommend!!

An amazing get away from the world for a few days! The lake was beautiful with great fish. The house its self was beautiful and very clean.

I'm sorry the electrical was out in the bunkhouse and that it could not be fixed before your arrival. A new connection had to be trenched in and that was not possible until the ground thawed. I hope you were satisfied with the rate adjustment because of this. I'm happy to report the situation has been rectified and I hope you might consider the Haven for another stay. Happy travels!

What a fabulous little getaway!! So cute and peaceful! Love all the accommodations and the host was so great to work with. Would definitely recommend to stay here. In fact I want to go back.
Beach was so clean and fun. A great place to play in the water or just sit and read with you toes in the water.

We had a great stay on Leaf Lake! We loved having the screen patio to hang out on in the rain, then when the weather improved enjoy am coffee and sunsets in the pm. Loved the use of the 2 kayaks and generally just found the cabin to be comfortable for our little family reunion of 6. Host communication was excellent and the cabin was well equipped. My husband had to work in the mornings and was thrilled to find a nice desk down in the outside bedroom. He did have to use his Starlink for internet. The cabin had internet , just not strong enough for his needs. The adult kids enjoyed games in the evening around the high top table. Only thing to be aware of is the triple bunk was a little claustrophobic so my hubby & I slept on separate bunks. If you have kids, even teens, I’d think they’d love it. And the outside grill wasn’t clean and we didn’t find the tools to clean it until later in the week so we ended up using our own camp grill that we had in our truck. Otherwise, no complaints. We would be thrilled to stay here again in the future.

Girl’s weekend

Really adorable up-to-date cottage on a quiet end of Leaf Lake. We used the kayaks and had a lovely day floating out front. The gathering spaces were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed, the grill worked great. We loved the screened in porch. Neighbors that we saw were friendly. MJ was a responsive host! We recommend bringing extra fans if you come when it’s hot since there’s no A/C.

We stayed for 6 days in August. The weather was fantastic all week and the lake with a sandy beach was exactly what we were hoping for. We didn’t try out the kayaks as we brought our own paddle boards but they did look like fun. There is a swim raft however the geese had claimed it by pooping all over it. Maybe a couple of swan decoys could solve that problem?The cabin was nice and having enough beds for all of us adults worked out well. The middle bunk bed was a little tough for us ‘older’ folks to get in and out of, but I bet kids would have a blast. The kitchen had everything we needed and it was nice to have an BBQ grill. The living/dining space was plenty spacious. The screened porch was great when the mosquitoes got too vicious. Bring bug spray and you will be fine. Sunsets were beautiful and we had campfires most evenings while stargazing and looking for satellites.The cabin has quirks, some doors and windows were a little hard to open and close. There is the typical hard water (well water?) that most cabins have. There is no air conditioning but we were fine with a couple of fans. All in all, we had a very nice time and will certainly consider returning next year.

Everything exceeded our expectations—it's a charming, welcoming, and comfortable space. It's been years since I last visited the lakes. We thoroughly enjoyed the sandy beaches, and although kayaking isn't my preference, we gave it a try—and it was surprisingly fun. The only downside was we couldn't stay longer due to our limited schedule.

The property was so beautiful! We stayed here for a weekend wedding and only wished we could have spent more time there. So many things were there for us to use like life jackets, kayaks, beach toys, even coffee pods for our coffee. Our only complaints were I didn’t realize there was a separate bunkhouse for the other bedroom so we would have to leave our room to use the bathroom. Then the shower was not cleaned properly so the water leaked everywhere. They did reimburse me some because of that. Also it was very warm and the only air conditioner was far from all of the bedrooms. However the property was great and great deck and yard to enjoy.
