First Light – Vintage Waterfront Retreat with Hot Tub, Sauna & EV Charger
⸻
Create lasting memories at First Light, a 1970’s original post-and-beam inlet beach home, and make it your retreat. Wake to the sunrise peaking over Meares Island, casting a golden hue over the water. With nearly an acre to explore, including the yard and private beach, the home comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests. Soak in the hot tub, steam in the cedar barrel sauna, or cozy up to the fire — these touches make the home truly special. From the house or yard, wildlife sightings are common, including orcas, herons, seals, and bears.
⸻
HOUSE HIGHLIGHTS:
- Barrel sauna and hot tub
- EV Charger
- Waterfront access and epic views

_______
GETTING AROUND TOFINO:
Getting around Tofino is part of the adventure! The scenic Multi-Use Path (MUP) runs through town and is perfect for walking, biking, jogging, or strolling.
PUBLIC TRANSIT:
Hop on the West Coast Transit bus for easy travel between Tofino and Ucluelet (and stops along the West Coast). It runs seven days a week with frequent service—and you can find routes, maps, and the full schedule here: https://bctransit.com/west-coast

KNOW BEFORE YOU PARK:
Tofino has paid parking in many downtown and beach areas, especially in peak season. Signs and pay stations will show rates and time limits—typically hourly in effect May through October during daytime hours.
You can pay at kiosks or use mobile apps like Honk Mobile or PayByPhone to make it easy.
Tips:
• Parking spots are enforced daily; always check signs.
• Free short-term parking and resident permit options exist in certain zones.
• Consider alternative transit or bikes to skip parking hassles altogether!
⸻

First Light is situated just on the outskirts of downtown Tofino, before the Crab Dock. This is perfect for car free exploring down town; in the summer months it is often hard to find parking and as of 2023, it is pay parking, so we very much recommend taking advantage of using the MUP (multi use path) and walking, biking, e-bike or grabbing the Free Shuttle that runs in the Summer months to the beaches.
From the house:
To downtown: A block / 1 min drive / 5 min walk

As you enter the house, you are met with large windows overlooking the inlet and a propane fireplace in the centre of the living / dining room. The open concept living room has sweeping ocean views and a 55 inch smart tv with Netflix, Prime, Crave log in from the TV (no cable). We've games, books and playing cards for a night in.
