An absolutely gorgeous home with wonderful amenities and really convenient ski in/out location. Fantastic kitchen, that was really convenient for our family group, great hot tub and steam room and plenty of space to relax. Thank you very much for hosting us!

This place is just beautiful for relaxing and taking in the mountains. Very comfortable beds and lots of space to relax. The kitchen had the best variety of cooking equipment a girl could ask for! Made food prep a dream not to mentioned 2 dishwashers if you love cooking! Location was amazing made accessing the hill with children a breeze. John and Kerri were great with Communication. Thank you so much! We will be back.

This place is absolutely gorgeous and is as described in the listing and shown in the photos. The chair lift was less than a 5 minute walk from the front door. The kitchen is stocked with almost any cooking, baking or serving item you could think you’d need and the home was spotless. The host was responsive to all our queries and made sure the driveway was clear of several of feet of snow for our arrival. We loved the home and all it had to offer. Would definitely stay again!

A great spot for a weekend getaway

A beautiful property that is equally, if not more, impressive than the listing's photos. It's stylish, modern and the kitchen is a cook's dream! Excellent communication from the host, who was very thoughtful to ensure we had everything we needed, and check-in/out was a breeze. Truly a great place for a getaway with friends and family.

Luxe and location

Our family of 8 adults spent 3 nights right on the ski hill in a beautiful, spacious, well-stocked home. The hot tub and pool table were a highlight and the location can not be beat. We will definitely return. Owners are super responsive and easy to communicate with.

The place was absolutely perfect. Right by the slopes and a fat trail that doubled as the perfect toboggan run for the young ones right beside the house. Absolutely everything we needed and in impeccable condition. We really couldn’t have been happier with our stay.

The house was in a fantastic location, with lots of sleeping areas, lots of space for people to be in different parts of the house for quiet time or social time. Kitchen was great and well equipped Definitely would go back. Well done!

A fantastic winter retreat.

My family had a wonderful stay this winter at Dark and Stormy. The home is beautiful, comfortable, stocked and even more impressive than the pictures. The setting is peaceful, the views are stunning and the location is very convenient for hopping on and off the slopes. The hosts were friendly, quick to respond and ready to help. We can not say enough good things about our stay at Dark and Stormy and we can hardly wait to return.

The best cabin on sasquatch mountain

The cabin on Sasquatch Mountain is an absolute gem! Nestled right beside the lift, it offers a true ski-in, ski-out experience. My family went to Sasquatch Mountain every winter season, and I have to say this is the most stylish cabin in the area. The interior is cozy and inviting, with a warm fireplace, comfortable furnishings, and all the amenities needed for a relaxing getaway. Everything was spotlessly clean, making it feel like a home away from home. The view from the deck is stunning; you can see the mountain and lift. This cabin is perfect whether you're here for skiing, snowboarding, or just unwinding in nature. Already re-booked for next winter.

This place looks WAY better in person, to fully appreciate the detail and design that went into this place. Functionality, placement, space, bedrooms, ect - did not disappoint us at all! Amazing stay

John and Kerri have thoughtfully curated the perfect escape for large families/groups to unwind and spend quality time together. The architecture and décor are stunning yet functional. The Dark and Stormy cabin was clean and fully stocked with every kitchen appliance and serving ware you could need! The check-in and check-out processes were seamless and John and Kerri were responsive and professional. Our family of 10 Adults fit perfectly in the space and we were able to create special memories that will last a lifetime! We stayed during the summer, but hope to stay again in the winter to enjoy all the ski amenities! I would definitely recommend this VRBO - it was worth every penny!

Amazing house in a lovely setting

Stayed with a group of friends for our annual trip and the house was perfect for it. Spacious and had all the amenities we needed, the pool table and cupboard full of board games was a great touch! Recommend bringing extra towels for the hot tub as there was only one per guest included. The mountain itself had good hiking , but not much else to do in the summer time. We had intended to do some golfing at Sandpiper or spending a day at Harrison but none of us really wanted to drive the windy gravel road down and back again. Definitely recommend Dark and Stormy for anyone coming up with a group!

Amazing retreat in the woods!

This beautifully modern, spacious retreat is surrounded by majestic trees and is a stone’s throw from the ski base. The kitchen is equipped with high end kitchenware and stocked with ample everything for our party of 9. The views are spectacular, the beds are incredibly comfortable, and the steam shower, hot tub, and pool table are additional perks for a fun stay. I highly recommend this rental. The communication with the owners was superb; quick responses to our questions about the area, they are a knowledgeable resource, and very friendly and welcoming. You won’t be disappointed! Be sure to grab groceries before you head up the mountain, as the closest grocery store or liquor store is about an hour away. Enjoy this remote, lovely getaway!

Even better than described

WOW! This is by the most luxurious and most beautiful place we’ve ever stayed in as a family. The views were amazing. We felt as if we had travelled across the world to the Swiss Alps. We had fresh snow so it was extremely magical being the tree tops. The hottub is in the best spot with privacy and views. Who knew two dish washers would be such a hit but we now all want to install second ones in our own homes. Having the downstairs bar was perfect for evening drinks and putting littles to bed. The open concept living room space is great for the main entertainment, there was plenty of room for our party of 10. We stayed for a few nights and never once felt crammed into a space. Near the end of the visit we all had wished we booked a few more nights. And for skiers you can’t get any better access than this house. Highly highly recommend!

Winter wonderland!

We stayed at The Dark and Stormy the week before Christmas and enjoyed an amazing time in the snow. We were there with three families including four kids. The kids could walk out the door and sled in the snow, which they did all day for most of our week long stay. The place is the closest you can get to the lifts so on the days that we skied we were just steps away. The place itself is absolutely beautiful. The pictures online don't do it justice. The three floors made for an incredibly comfortable experience for our party of 10. The kitchen was fantastic and had everything we needed. The online watching options, board games, steam shower, hot tub and pool table kept us all engaged despite the many hours inside together. I would just note that if you choose to bring your own linens that this does include bringing your own blankets and towels and while this sounded like a good idea to us it ended up taking a lot of room in an already cramped car. Otherwise, the place has what you need! Finally, the hosts were super responsive and accommodating. The neighbourhood had a little issue with the water system during the unusual winter storm and the host responded immediately. We would highly recommend this place and hope that we can find a time to get back there soon!
