Private Cottage with soaring vaulted ceiling

The cottage is located a few hundred feet up the hill from Thornton Creek and is in a very lush, green, and forested area. Bird Song is abundant.

The main floor has a well stocked, full kitchen, 3/4 bath and large hang out space with new furniture. Double French doors along with windows and vaulted ceiling feed light everywhere. There’s a piano should you be so inclined to tickle some ivory.

The upstairs is carpeted and has a new queen bed, 1/2 bath, washer and dryer, and TV.

There is an east facing covered front porch with a sitting area for morning sunshine or bright gray cloud watching.

The backyard is available to you with a BBQ. However, please note we love our backyard as well, and you might see us there.


SLEEPING ARRANGEMENT DETAILS:

The loft sleeps 2 people in the queen bed and 1 young child on the chaise lounge.

The grey couch shown in the downstairs photo folds out to sleep 1-2. It’s a full size sleeper.

A Japanese Shikibuton floor mattress can be rolled out anywhere on the cottage floor (up or down) and sleeps 1. It can also be added to the top of the sleeper sofa to add comfort.

Our space feels big with all the light and high ceilings and there is flexibility in how it gets arranged for sleeping. It technically sleeps 5 but it’s up to you to decide if it would sleep YOUR 5. Please review the details and photos carefully. We want you to be comfortable in the space! Thank you.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD:

Walk or bike on the the famous Burke Gilman Trail (3 blocks away), or take a neighborhood stroll to the City of Seattle's Matthews Beach Park on Lake Washington (10 minutes), or walk in the other direction to Meadowbrook pond and the Meadowbrook Community Center with indoor pool (1 mile).

Our property is very close to the # 75 busline on Sand Point Way (3 blocks).

We also hope you have the time to just chillax in our beautiful backyard to enjoy your private patio, while watching local bird life.

If you decide to stroll 4 houses down the street to the bridge over Thornton Creek for whatever reason, there is one of the most awesome willow trees you will ever see. Heck, there might even be salmon or beaver in the creek if you are tremendously lucky.
