2 Fenced Acres for Dogs! 2 Kings ~ Hot Tub ~ Firepit ~ Creek ~ 7 Secluded Acres
Ever stayed somewhere where your dogs and your kids get to roam free — safely and wildly? At Sacred Waters, you’re not just booking a cabin. You’re getting 7 acres of freedom, creekside picnics, a bamboo jungle, and a pet-ready escape that feels more like your own private park with over 2 acres of perimeter fencing.
Tucked away on 7 private acres in the North Georgia mountains, Sacred Waters is your peaceful escape — a place where you can sip your morning coffee by the fire, listen to the wind drift through the bamboo grove, and let your dogs roam free across two fully fenced yards. Just a two-minute walk down a wooded gravel path brings you to 150 feet of private creek frontage, complete with a fire pit, picnic table, and screen room — the perfect spot to unwind or play cards as rain taps gently on the roof. Whether you’re here to hike the trails at Amicalola Falls, sip local wine at Ott or Roo Vineyards, or simply do nothing at all, this is the kind of stay that resets your soul.
Inside, you’ll find two inviting king bedrooms, a dedicated office, and a thoughtfully designed kitchen with quartz counters, a center island, and a gas cooktop. The cozy living room features leather reclining couches, vaulted ceilings, an 85" Smart TV, and a woodstove for cooler nights.
The home is beautifully appointed with local artwork, stable WiFi, and warm, personal touches throughout. Step out back to the covered deck and grill up a meal while enjoying the forest views, or relax on the front porch by the propane fire table as nature comes to life around you.
You’ll also enjoy a full laundry setup, central heat and air, and a whole-home generator — everything you need to cook, relax, and recharge in comfort.
This cabin is truly pet-ready, welcoming up to two dogs with no size restrictions. One fenced yard sits just off the deck for easy access, while the other sprawls across more than two acres — perfect for full-throttle exploring.
Spend your days antiquing in downtown Ellijay, apple picking in the fall, or kayaking the nearby Cartecay River. At Sacred Waters, the property itself is the destination — private, peaceful, and ready to welcome you home.

We are from beautiful Missoula, MT, just a couple of hours from Glacier National Park. We love the outdoors, from ice fishing and hiking, to boating and camping, our weekend warrior partnership spans over 20 years of exploration and adventure.
Together, we built a boutique style property management company in the long term residential sector. This has allowed us to spend more time traveling, while remaining connected remotely.
We purchased Sacred Waters in the winter of 2024 as a south eastern base we could eventually semi retire to. The home was built in 2019 and we underwent a substantial remodel to update the home to a more modern rustic feel that is complimented by the lush surroundings.
We knew this property was something special when we first crested the driveway and popped over the hill. We both said "Wow", it felt like we were entering the grounds of a private retreat. And so began our quest to put our touches on the property and share this special place with you. Welcome!

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft
We searched high and low for a couple of months spanning 2 trips. As we explored the area we figured out a few things... We wanted more than just a home perched on a mountain top that was difficult to get to. We drove many a pot holed gravel mountain road and knew that was not for us. We wanted a special feature. We wanted privacy. We wanted paved roads!
As we toured the property and realized the potential it was time to walk down the path to the creek. As Tom and I sat around the firepit in the adirondack chairs, listening to the creek and exploring the paths that meander through the lower acreage, we were hooked. We knew this was our place. As our mini bernedoodle, Ted, ran about collecting sticks we could envision many years of good times to come at Sacred Waters.
We remain in awe of the lush surroundings a mature landscaping the property owners lovingly added over their 20 years here. Thousands of daffodils adorn the property in the spring, rose bushes, ferns, mountain laurel, bamboo, and other blooming delights that pop up with the arrival of spring.
Big Creek Road offers many hiking opportunities in the Blue Ridge Wildlife Management Area, from Long Creek Falls and the Southern Terminus of the Appalachian Trail or Benton McKaye Trail.
We are just 14 miles to downtown Ellijay and 28 miles to downtown Blue Ridge.

We have privacy and seclusion that is hard to come by. When you come to the mountains of North Georgia, you want to feel like you are in the country, away from the crowds, the noise, you want to be immersed in nature. You get that here and more.
The expanse of our lush grounds provides a sense of calm and wonder. The privacy of our property is unique, our property cannot be seen from the road. We only installed blinds on our living room windows after a guest requested it, and we never use them! You can literally walk au naturel from the bedroom into the hot tub and not have to worry about being seen. It is that private.
Walking down through our private forest to the creek is a treat in of itself. Forest bathing, or Shinrin-yoku (森林浴), is a Japanese practice that involves immersing yourself in the sights, sounds, and sensations of a forest to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and improve well-being. It’s not about exercise or hiking—it’s about mindful connection with nature.
Some vacation rentals boast proximity to attractions, at Sacred Waters, our property is the attraction. You can visit local attractions and explore the towns and trails, but in the end, you will come back to Sacred Waters to refresh, renew and reconnect—with nature, with yourself, and with the simple beauty of stillness.
