Wow! I had a great time. The host and his family were incredibly nice and helpful. The host is on a nearby property, and we communicated through whatsapp. He was very prompt about any issue, request, and question. The wifi worked great. So did the AC. And also the hot water. A ten minute walk to the right is Unawatuna Beach, a beautiful place to swim and relax. Around, there are lots of wonderful restaurants with western and local cuisine. Directly across the street, you have free access to a beach resort with a pool. And if you walk 10 minutes to the left is Turtle Beach, where giant sea turtles chill and tourists feed them by hand. I loved everything about my stay, 20+ days. If you do not like to walk like I do, you can always flag down a tuk-tuk; they are always coming and going. As this house is down south, you are next to the jungle, and you will see big lizards that run from you as they are more afraid of you than them, peacocks walking around your frontyard, beautiful birds, and sometimes a crew of monkeys in your backyard. A truly memorable time. I hope to stay here again.
