Come relax at The Monte! 4bed 2 1/2 bath mountain retreat in Pioneer on 1/2 acre. A vintage cabin in the woods with touch of modern. Wood - burning fireplace, Wifi & 70" TV. Unwind on the back deck in the pines, propane BBQ & propane fire pit. Yard games with horseshoes & giant Jenga + Game room. Peaceful and centrally-located off Hwy 88 near the great Sierra rivers & lakes. Pipi Valley 14 min. away, Bear river lake 25 min, Silver lake 30 miles, Kirkwood Ski Resort 37 miles. A perfect getaway!

The Space: Walk into an open concept living and dining space with two bedrooms on main floor with the loft room with 1/2 bath on 2nd floor with two full beds. Stairs are required to access loft bedroom upstairs. 4th Bed and full bathroom is located in separate detached building which also has game room.
The kitchen offers a large island with granite surfaces and brand-new appliances. The coffee bar offers K cup station with 8 cups regular brew and French press complete with our favorite coffees. Everything you need to cook and serve a complete meal are available within the kitchen cabinets.
Detached laundry room/ game room in back yard with air hockey table, ping pong and pool table topper conversion, 70” smart TV with DVD player to stream games & movies plus electric dart board.
Deck offers full dining table with bench seats, Propane BBQ and Giant outdoor Jenga.

At 3,600-foot elevation, during the winter months the cabin occasionally receives significant snowfall. 4-wheel drive and chains recommended. The driveway is down slopping so if there is a lot of snow park at top of driveway or to the left when entering property is ideal. Public streets are snow plowed.

Guest Access: Entire access to home and yard.

Interaction with guests: I hope you love your stay at The Monte & enjoy what Pioneer and the Sierra's all has to offer. For my guests, I will typically send check in info and then leave you alone. If you have questions about the house, the town, anything just messages me. I'm usually always available to answer pretty quickly. Please reach out if you need anything, I am available from normal hours, if you need me after hours, please note I will respond next day.

Other details to note: Please note driveway is down sloping, and there are stairs on the back deck. No stairs are required to enter the home.

Great location.. quiet and peaceful. My family and I enjoyed our stay. We specifically appreciated the fully equipped kitchen, we had access to pots/pans, baking sheets, air fryer, coffee pot.. everything needed to cook up a nice meal. Loved the hot tub and game room!

The host was awesome! Anytime I had a question, he would reply to my messages right away. The cabin was perfect! Super comfortable and relaxing. The game room was so much fun too. If we could have, we would have stayed a week. We will definitely come again!

Roberta and her group were absolutely wonderful guests. They treated the cabin with great care and left the entire place spotless. A great gataway

We really enjoyed our stay. The bedding was very comfortable, and the Jacuzzi and fire pit were definitely highlights that helped create wonderful memories. Everyone had a great getaway.

Wonderful Family Vacation House

Perfect house for adults with kids. Our grandchildren loved the game room (especially the karaoke machine and air hockey). Great space for 6 adults and 4 kids 3-9. It had everything we needed, clean and modern amenities. Quiet location and great outdoor spaces. We loved staying there. James was very responsive to all our communications and a great host.

The house is well stocked and cozy. It also met everyones’s needs and provided the extra. The game room was fun and a true highlight. Just an awesome place to be with family. Definitely a return visit in the future.

Great place for a weekend getaway

We had a great time at this property celebrating a friend's upcoming wedding. We comfortably slept 6 adults and had plenty of space. Lots of nice thoughtful extras like a ping-pong/pool/air hockey table, games, a large collection of DVDs etc. Plenty of fun activities to keep us entertained in a peaceful and beautiful forest setting. Thank you for hosting us! I would definitely stay here again if I was ever in the area in the future.

A quiet getaway filled with fun & relaxation

Amenities are super cool! Game room was really nice and the extra room attached in the garage was nice as well. The cleaner didn't clean so well we had to clean a lot of the dishes we wanted to use. Also there is no back up generator we had no power for over 13 hours because of a small fire near by. Great place plenty of room for kids and dogs (not fully fenced in yard) and just a nice area to get away from the city.

Birthday Bash

My family and I celebrated my birthday at this beautiful location and I have to say it’s one of my favorite stays I’ve ever booked. It was so serene and peaceful in the woods. Our favorite part of the stay was the hot tub; it provided much needed relaxation. We stayed during a week where there was a meteor shower, and the back deck of this house had a perfect view of the stars. It was incredible to watch. The fire pit was perfect for enjoying smores and hanging out. After enjoying the outdoors area, we would venture to the game room and play pool, ping pong, and karaoke…and I’ve never had more fun. The owners have decorated the rooms with a mountain vibe and ski decor to fit the location, with very comfy and modern furniture. The main house is absolutely exceptional, also very modern and comfortable. We made many meals in the kitchen and enjoyed listening to music in the living room. It was spacious and beautiful. Overall, I felt incredibly at home here. We didn’t want to leave, and we will definitely be back soon.

The hot tub was clutch. Checkout instructions very simple. Kitchen and BBQ were well-stocked and easy-to-use. Living room was a little small but I think the exterior more than makes up for it. Plenty of space!
