Pet Policy Dogs of all sizes are welcome. Please bring pet bedding or use the provided dog bed. We kindly ask that guests clean up after pets and keep them close when outdoors. And if you have a dog that sheds or with white hair, please don't let them sleep on the bed with the black duvet cover. For some reason, white dog hair is very difficult to clean up after; just be aware of the impact after you leave.

Why We Chose This Area
We fell in love with this corner of the Sierra Foothills for its peaceful silence, open skies, and endless natural beauty. It’s the kind of place where you can hear the wind through the trees, see every star at night, and truly slow down.
The area blends small-town charm and outdoor adventure—from historic Gold Rush towns like Mokelumne Hill and Murphys to the rivers, lakes, and forest trails nearby. We love that it feels remote, yet it’s still close to great local spots like Sender’s Market, cozy bars, and Calaveras wineries.
Every visit reminds us why we built this retreat. It’s a place to breathe, explore, and reconnect with what really matters.
