I’ve always been a traveler at heart, seeking places that create lasting memories. That passion led me to hosting. My family and I fell in love with Jay, NY, drawn to its beauty, skiing, and peaceful nature. I wanted to share that magic by creating a space where guests can truly relax, unwind, and reconnect.

When my husband and I bought this cabin, we renovated it with our own hands—thoughtfully enhancing comfort while preserving its original charm. Every detail, from the cozy interiors to the ice barrel and meditation setup, is designed to offer a restorative experience.

What I love most about hosting is creating meaningful stays—helping guests feel at home, at peace, and inspired. It makes me happy when they say they’ve had the best sleep, discovered a favorite new trail, or finally found a moment to breathe. Our ADK Forest Cabin sits in the heart of AuSable Acres, a peaceful forested community designed for those who seek both serenity and adventure. Established in the 1960s by John Eaton, AuSable Acres was envisioned as a nature retreat, with private trails, a tranquil lake, and a strong sense of community. Today, it remains a hidden gem in the Adirondacks, where visitors can escape the rush of daily life and reconnect with nature.

Beyond our peaceful corner, history unfolds in the nearby town of Lake Placid, a place of Olympic triumphs and outdoor adventure. Home to both the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics, Lake Placid's legacy is most famous for the “Miracle on Ice”, when the underdog U.S. hockey team shocked the world by defeating the Soviet Union. Today, you can skate on the same historic rink, visit the Olympic Ski Jump Complex, or ride a bobsled on a professional track.

Towering nearby is Whiteface Mountain, known for its world-class skiing and breathtaking summit views. In 1935, Franklin D. Roosevelt led the creation of the Whiteface Mountain Veterans Memorial Highway, allowing visitors to drive up to panoramic views stretching across the Adirondacks, Vermont, and even Canada. Whiteface also played a major role in the 1980 Winter Olympics, hosting all alpine ski events and further cementing its place in winter sports history.
