Regarding the fireplace, we’d like to clarify for future guests that at the time of booking the fireplace was clearly listed as inoperable in the notes section, and signage was posted on-site for safety reasons while repairs are pending. We understand how a working fireplace can be an important part of a winter stay, and we regret any disappointment, but we do want to be transparent that this information was disclosed prior to booking. The fireplace will be repaired in early Spring. We are very concerned by the cleanliness issues you described. This is not the standard we expect from our cleaning team, and we take reports like this seriously. Had we been notified during your stay, we would have immediately addressed the issue or arranged a re-clean. We have since followed up with our cleaners to ensure this does not happen again. As noted in the listing, the front of the home is located near a roadway, which is reflected in the map and description, though we’re glad you enjoyed the large private backyard for your pets. We appreciate your feedback, as it helps us continue improving the experience for future guests, and we’re sorry that parts of your stay did not meet expectations.
