We just spent three weeks in PV staying at this condo. The balconies faced the Pacific and we spent many an evening and morning watching the sun set and the ships and boats glide across the calm morning waters. The apartment had all the conveniences necessary for a short or long stay: new stove and oven, new air conditioning units (although since the sliders faced the ocean we barely used it because of the cool air off the ocean), large refrigerator, and microwave. the cable tV gave us all the needed US stations we wanted and then some and the free house telephone connected to the US because our cell phones wouldn't. The condo was spacious and roomy and comfortably furnished. There was enough storage space for clothes and luggage for an army. We never suffered from a lack of hot water for showering and the bathroom was beautifully designed.
Katrina, the housekeeper, and Oswaldo, the building manager, were incredibly helpful and worked round the clock to keep us comfortable. Even when I told Katrina not to come everyday she mopped the floors, washed the dishes and made the beds anyway each day.
The pool was quite cold but we found it very refreshing after coming off the beach. We also felt quite safe in the building because the entire building is iron gated and there is no way to get in except for a key. Spiderman couldn't even get over, through or under it. We often left our entry door open at night because it was so cool and it was also iron gated as were the windows. The building is also located right down the hill from all the restaurants, bars, beach, and shops which was extremely convenient. And there is a small but fully stocked small market at the base of the steps. But the is far enough away from the action to be quiet at night.
The only down side to this condo are the STEPS to get to and from the condo. They were killers. They are steep, and high. There were 212 to get down to the beach and 78 to get to the main street. However, there is a longer route to both the beach and town that only involves hills and there are always taxis everywhere and we never spent more than five dollars to take back and forth. So if you have any health, or walking issues, or you have small children be cautious.
The owner, James, is super friendly and helpful to deal with, and wants to make sure your stay is wonderful so will call and text you throughout your stay to make sure it is. And we had a blast!
