Nice pet friendly space. Very clean. Some areas (cabinets/bathrooms) little dated. Construction on neighboring buildings during our stay. But again very clean with easy close walk to the beach. Nice centrally located as well.

Nice, clean condo
The condo was clean, nice sized living room and bedrooms, and had all the amenities we needed. The owners were very quick to reply to any questions. Great spot with plenty of restaurants very close by and had an assigned parking spot which was convenient. Nice sized pool in the complex.

The condo was spotless and had all amenities. Great location for the beach. The owner went over and above to keep us cool and we were very comfortable. As a side note the bathrooms are not handicapp accessable (wheelchair or walker)

The Perfect Getaway
We had a wonderful stay at Pirates Mermaid! My husband, kids, and I spent one night here, and it was the perfect beach retreat. The condo is spacious and well-equipped, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location is fantastic, just steps from the community pool and private beach access. We loved how easy it was to spend the day on the beach and then cool off in the pool afterward. Being so close to Captain Dave’s Restaurant was a bonus for dining with a Gulf view.Although we didn’t get a chance to use the Xplorie benefits during this trip, we’re definitely planning to next time! There are so many fun activities in the area, and we can’t wait to take advantage of those complimentary passes.Benchmark Management, the host, was fantastic. Their attention to detail and seamless communication made our stay stress-free. From the spotless condo to the quick responses to our questions and fully equipped digital guides, we truly felt taken care of. We’re already looking forward to coming back for a much longer stay!Thank you!

Nice place
The only down side to our stay was that the ac unit had went out days before out check in time. The first night it was hot but the manager was able to have a contractor install window units to keep the condo cool. That stunk but was totally out of everyone's control so we made the best of it. The manager was very nice and kept us in the loop. The only other issue we had was with the up stairs people having a young kid just like we did, but the only problem was they let the child run around as soon as they got up which of course was as soon as the sun came up. lol But with the fans going and the window units we did not hear them a lot. I would deff stay again with this place very clean and nice location. Manager was very nice and helpful. With a private beach entry with in walking distance helps a lot to a very nice beach. Two pools to use and your own laundry room and a fully stocked kitchen. A very nice get away from all the troubles in your life this is a good one to check out.

🛑🛑🛑PLEASE READ FIRST I WARN YOU!!! 🛑🛑🛑 there is not enough room for the whole review..
host failed to let me know prior to driving 13.5 hours that AC is out he knew for several prior weeks, but he finally called 5 hours into our drive, it was warm havent seen it under 73-76, he mentioned it had been gettin 78-80° so it wasnt bad at all. I tried 3 opportunities to get him to make things right(which he says ive denied them.. hmm thatd odd cause I'm the one wanting things made right)since it was very uncomfortable in the condo, he said he put window ac units in there so he didn't have to even do that in the state of Florida. I had to leave him a (lying)5 star review before he would even give $130(for umbrella service)out of 3k. there was a cockroach in sink, he shut the blowing non working air off in middle of night remotely causing us to sweat even more, locked doors by using his phone when we were in condo. was rude, dishonest, very greedy, and only cares out himself and his rating. He said he would take his bad review and explain what REALLY happened to the next person. He made me cancel a transaction and resend it cause it was 3 cents short when I booked an extra night.. that should have told me right there what kind of person he really is.. he turned everything around to make me look like the bad person an a liar to VRBO although they had all their evidence and still yet has done anything to make things right. Im not one to leave bad reviews but this host deserves to be kicked off VRBO for his dishonesty and putting a bad name out there on VRBO.. PLEASE I MEAN IT DONT STAY HERE!!
This place looks very cute by far nothing like the owners attitude or actions. If I could list everything to give more detail I soooo would but this box doesn't allow for a full review. I promise you this though.. I will not use this condo or host again and I truly hope VRBO will act on this appropriately cause no one should have had to be treated like me and my family had to. Mind you the previous renter had no air either and he is even too cheap to get on the renters program to make sure things are covered and working appropriately. This guy is only out for himself, I hope you all will consider this review and know you can't make this stuff up an you're only getting 1/4 of the review!!

There is nothing worse than coming to the beach in the summer and having A/C issues. With that being said, I did not call the guest prior to arrival when this happened May 20th due to the fact I was told by the A/C company and the home warranty company that it would be fixed prior to her arrival. When I found that it wasn't the case I called her immediately. At this time I had 1 a/c window unit that I installed for the current tenant. I went out and purchased another unit to get the place as cold as possible. During the day was 74-76 degrees, night was 70-72 degrees. Who stays in the unit during the day? Not a lot of tenants. Customer stated on reservation only 1 adult, so 2 units should be more than enough. Come to find out she had 6 people including her. She added an additional night prior to arrival and got upset that I had to charge her taxes. It was $20.93, not pocket change as customer incorrectly described. I told tenant, to make things right I will do the following: 50% next visit (shot down), Fine Dining dinner on me (turned down, and customer stated should wouldn't be a good parent if she left her kids at the unit?), looked into getting a captained crab island tour (fully booked), Then she said can you pay for the 9 day renal of a beach service? I said I tell you what I will split it with you, $167 something. Will that work? make you happy? maybe get me a good review since I am at the mercy of the Warranty and A/C company? Yes!!!!! she said. I said great I just need a receipt proving you got it, and I will Venmo you at the end of your stay and after the review. I didn't hear back from tenant for 4 days, so I think we have a deal. She texts me back and says I decided to purchase 2 chairs and a umbrella, I want you to reimburse us 1/3 of the cost of our stay. I know you cant please everyone in this business, and I knew I would get a bad review, but I still tried. I tried everything to make this tenant happy. They left the place a mess, damaged furniture, linens etc. Everyone has a voice on here, we had issues that was trying to be resolved during the stay and tenant kept going back on her word. Do Not Read Into Her Review to determine your stay with us. She never said the place wasn't clean, or it wasn't nice, just that they found a bug in the sink and the A/C. News Flash, we have bug here in Florida.
