Not sure if it was the weather or time of the year, but this was easily the best stay we’ve had in Cape Cod in decades. The property is stunning. I could sit and watch the water for hours from the window. Cannot recommend enough!!

We loved the location!!! The cabin does need some updating however. The dryer needs to be replaced as well as possibly the stove as one burner not working. The screen door was broken. We also thought the bathroom vanity and side of the stove needed a good cleaning. The kitchen sink drain was leaking however a plumber came the next day to address.

This was a true Cape Cape Cottage. Nothing fancy but comfortable. It lacked a DVD player listed and the tv is very small. Location of washer and dryer had a lot to be desired and lighting to get to it was very poor. The view was magnificent made better by the screened-in porch and deck. It is definitely on our rent again list.

We were even able to catch a surf competition at the beach in front of the house! My only complaints were that the bathroom ceiling and one of the rocking chairs were covered with black mold spots. The best thing about this house if the location. It is a short walk to the ocean beach and the views from the living room are beautiful. The village of Wellfleet is close by and it's a short trip up to Provincetown.We also loved the kettle ponds that are nearby. Great for a swim in the fresh water.The house is old but clean. It could, however, use some easy updates to make it even nicer. The bedroom blankets and comforters are old and thin. The deck is also lovely, but there is no outdoor furniture - only a few old chairs. The living room seating is also old and not totally comfortable.All communication is through the rental company - we had no contact with the owners. I had a few questions about the property that they could not answer.All in all, if you can overlook the things I mentioned, you will have a lovely time in a great part of the Cape.

This is a great throwback cape house--stuck in time, braided rugs, need to bring your linens, vintage dishware, twin beds in the attic (a/c's were helpful on hotter nights--thank you!), we loved it all of course. The proximity to the beach and Wellfleet National Seashore trails is excellent. The best part is the views of the water. The house faces east and you get a beautiful view of the sunrise. The town is about 10 minutes away by car, try the Beachcomber for a lively evening. I would say the only downside is that it was difficult for our 87-year-old father to access the Atlantic beach because of the steep dune decline.

Just enough updating to make it a comfy stay. Access to the bike trail a bonus right across the road. Kitchen well equipped for avid cooks. Just a couple of recommends : New showerhead would be a lovely addition as the low pressure was kinda frustrating. A new master mattress would also be great! Beyond that a really sweet and affordable stay with amazing ocean proximity.

We watched the sunrise over the water each morning and fell asleep listening to the sound of the ocean. Both White Crest and Lecount Hollow are walkable but there are no shoulders or sidewalks. With a little kid in tow we opted to get a town beach pass - totally worth it for access to parking at the kettle ponds nearby which are perfect for kid swimming. We would book again!

It's mesmerizing to watch the ocean each day (we spotted seals in the surf all day long, every day), and the scrub forest around us teemed with towhees, cardinals, and catbirds during the day and whippoorwills at night. The town beach nearby is more breathtaking and raw than many others on the Outer Cape, but the main highway is less than ten minutes away so you can use this place as a good base for many excursions. The understated vintage charm of the home is relaxing, perfect for feeling like you're truly getting away from it all.

We spent many hours on that deck taking in the spectacular view. This is a classic Cape style beach cottage with picture windows that allow you to appreciate the ocean from the living room couch. It has its quirks (loose sockets, tricky stairs, unsecured screens on the porch) and I would say it's a stretch to call it a 3 bedrooms as the top floor is more like one open space but the proximity to the beach and charm of the home conquers all. Based on a prior review we brought a power strip, a string of lights and our own beach chairs which we used on the deck and were glad we did so. Overall a great spot.

The house gets extremely warm in the hot weather and though there are good fans, it's hard to get any cross ventilation going. We had trouble with the internet service, but the owner and realtor were very responsive and solved the problem quickly. The electrical outlets don't hold plugs very securely. The kitchen equipment is a motley assortment. But these, finally, are quibbles. If you love the ocean, this is your spot.

The property is rustic with a lot of vintage furniture. The property could use a little more love from the owners. Basic maintenance would make the renters experience better. We had trouble with the refrigerator requiring a someone to come fix it. It might be time for a new one. The electrical outlets all need to be replaced, many will not hold a plug in them. It's also time for a new shower head.
