I regret that we must have had a lack of communication. The brief email we received a day or two after arrival did not request a response, but they were letting us know that while they were enjoying their stay they wanted to make us aware of a scratch on one of our upstairs walls, a missing slat on our slider curtain, and a cracked spindle. We understand noting these things, as they do not want to be held responsible and we appreciate that. I forwarded her email to our House Manager just in case, upon her inspection, she had missed these items. We also provide, in our kitchen, just to be safe, both our cell phone numbers and the cell number of our House Manager. We want guests to notify us immediately if anything is not working, breaks or malfunctions when they are there. Otherwise we did not hear from these guests all week and we are pleased that they did enjoy their stay! I

We very much regret the issues which occurred during your stay at our beach home. Our hope is that all our guests enjoy their vacations, especially this summer as things have been challenging for many individuals. Although we did not hear from you directly, and I did check my email, texts and phone and absolutely apologize that I missed your contact, we have a wonderful, small local staff in Surfside who look after our beach home, so we immediately heard first from our Pool man regarding an unexpected break. I did not personally handle this as my husband spoke with them and they did address the immediate problem. They let us know that our guests could enjoy the pool during their stay and they scheduled involved repair when they were scheduled to depart. This has since been addressed. Further evaluation will be done when owners return. We were unaware that our oven is not working, so thank-you for letting us know. We have scheduled our maintenance man to check this out when guests depart. We did have installed a new microwave in May because we know that is something everybody uses a lot, so we again apologize for not knowing the oven was not responding? As for our dryer, our maintenance man cleaned out our dryer vent but since you had the problem drying your sheets, again, thank-you for letting us know. He thinks it may then be a bad element so we are replacing our dryer and I will let our guests know until the new one can be installed. We would love to leave our storage open but found early on that this did not work since this is also the pool man's storage along with our household items. We do leave a few beach chairs out for guests and pool floats but again, we cannot guarantee that all the pool and beach items we leave for guests are still there for the next guests, so we do regret that. If a guest requests something we have specifically that we can and will leave out, we can have our House Manager go ahead and leave items in our pool yard for their use during their stay. Finally, Our house managers cleans after guests depart and had a few concerns after this particular guest. She sends pictures and comments on cleaning day. Our goal is for all guests to enjoy their vacations and we will act to remedy all guests concerns as soon as possible
