Experience Island Park like a local in this three bedroom, two bathroom cabin getaway. With four queen beds and two full beds, this gorgeous property offers a cozy retreat for guests. Located on Bills Island, one of the most beautiful and historic locations that Island Park has to offer. Close enough to enjoy a day trip into Yellowstone National Park or stay local and enjoy the peace and quiet that the island has to offer. Prime waterfront property on Island Park Reservoir for lake activities out your back door. Really, the dock is hard to beat. Extra large sunning area, with a place to jump in the water and dock a large boat right at the property. Enjoy a multitude of amenities to feel right at home. This is one of the original cabins established on the island, making your cabin in the woods stay as authentic as it gets. Loft bedroom has two queens and two double beds, with everything else on the main floor. Property landscape is natural and surrounded by tall pines. Make your vacation one for the books with a stay at our place. Even though the cabin is on an “island” there is a two lane land bridge making it accessible with any vehicle by driving from your location straight to the cabin.

We had the best time here! You can tell it’s an original bills island cabin but we love that about it! The yard was so fun for the kids to play and ride bikes and the dock/lake area was so clean and nice! The property manager was amazing to work with and beyond helpful and kind. We would definitely stay here again if we could.

Bills Island House

The interior of the house was ok and somewhat cozy and it met our needs. Everything worked but was pretty dated, especially the refrigerator, which was from the 1960s. You open it by pulling down a lever on the outside, which brought back memories of when I was a kid. It worked fine but the light inside was burned out and you had to stuff a rag in the freezer door to keep it shut. What I was really disappointed with was the outside. When we drove up it was raining and the driveway was not paved or graveled, just mud. So the five of us splashed in though the puddles and mud and squished across the floor of the entrance with our wet, muddy shoes. There was also an old riding lawn mower parked right in the front yard by the driveway which was something of an eyesore. But I'm not sure what it was used for because the property, front and back was completely overgrown with weeds, brush, and untrimmed overgrown trees. There was a piece of earth moving equipment parked in back about 100 feet behind the house within the view of the lake and it had dug a furrow from the house down to the lake for some reason. The information provided when we arrived said the house would be torn down and replaced with a new one after this season so I guess the owners had just given up on taking care of it. I can see why they might feel that way but when I'm paying 450 a night, I expect a place to be well maintained inside and out. The dock on the lake was in pretty good shape.

Hi Gregg. We are very upfront that the cabin is older and priced accordingly, with pictures of every room and angle. I manage a cabin three doors down that goes for an average of $2500 a night. Waterfront property goes for a premium on Bills Island, especially with such a nice dock. We strive to make sure everything is clean and in working order. There are quite a few homes that leave natural vegetation for landscape. I do understand tromping through mud is no fun. Overall, I hope you had a great vacation and wish you the best of luck on future travels.

We really enjoyed staying in this cabin. It is certainly a vintage cabin, but was very clean and clearly well cared for. The location both right on the lake and in the forest was really nice. It was particularly hot while we were there and the cabin stayed nice and cool throughout the day. Stay here while you can, unfortunately it sounds like this may be the last year for it. Justin, the host, was very quick to respond and was eager to help in any would he could. I would highly recommend this cabin and would definitely stay again if we came back to the area.
