The property was exactly what we needed for our quick weekend stay. Highlights were the peaceful area, comfortable bed and very responsive host. It would be more accurate to list it as a studio, and as others have mentioned, while it was nice to have dishes available, there was not a great way to clean them with no sink. The grill is also not very functional. That being said, we had a great time, the area was very clean, and we had a lovely view. We would stay there again if the occasion called.

The location was great. Easy to get to. Nice views. The room was a daylight basement. The queen-sized bed was comfortable,. The futon was hard and would not be comfortable as a bed. The bed, futon, sofa, refrigerator, (no sink), microwave and coffee maker were all in one room. The only running water was in the bathroom sink so probably should bring bottled water for drinking. As mentioned by another renter, there was only one small heater so the room was uncomfortably cold. The room was clean, TV worked well. It was easy to communicate with the host by text. They responded quickly. We were only staying one night so it worked out ok.

I loved the property, close to where I needed to be, and the cows in the morning were cool, the grill saves us a lot, unfortunately no kitchen of any sort, the owner was amazing and responded quickly and was helpful.

Great communication and host - property is ok

Very clean except for some holes for cabling, no big deal. Awesome view. Didn't expect it to be the downstairs of a family home. Bring extra blankets because it got pretty cold in March with just one space heater for a large space.NOTE: there is light cookware but no kitchen. I saw the cookware in the description and assumed there would be a kitchen. You might too.

Thanks for the response Sebastian. I didn't know you guys needed extra blankets. You should have asked we have plenty extra blankets even space heaters that we could have provided to make your stay more comfortable.

We booked this property for two nights but chose to leave after one because it did not match our expectations based on the listing.The listing describes it as an “entire home” with “1 bedroom, 1 bathroom,” but it is actually a studio-style basement unit beneath a larger home. While it has a separate entrance, it is not a standalone home, and “1 bedroom” implies a separate sleeping space, which was not the case.The views were beautiful and the location was peaceful, but the space felt unfinished, poorly maintained, and less family-friendly than advertised. Traveling with young children, we were concerned by exposed wiring, unfinished wall openings, steep stairs without a gate, low breakable furniture, and a hot wax warmer left within reach upon arrival.We also encountered cleanliness and maintenance issues, including hair in the drain, dirty dishes, stained bath mats, and missing or non-working amenities like the toaster (rectified by contacting host who brought one down), kids’ utensils, and fridge features (not cooling we found out the next day).The trampoline shown in the listing photos was broken, dirty, and unusable, which felt misleading.Adding to the frustration, the lawn was mowed in the evening while we were trying to put our children to bed, creating significant noise.We informed the host that we were leaving early but received no follow-up. Overall, the listing presented a more complete, private, and family-friendly space than what we experienced.

Clean and worked for what we needed, but definitely glad it was only a one night stay. The whole thing felt so thrown together and half done that I thought perhaps we were their first guest, but they have been doing this for over a year (that I can tell from reviews). Exposed wiring, exposed ducts with openings in the ceiling where it just was never finished, no washcloths, tags still in the drawers of the cabinets, drapes don’t match…. And then like the bedside lamps match but are two different sizes.It’s a daylight basement in their house. There’s stairs that lead up to the main floor, no way to lock it from our end so you just kind of hope that they won’t walk in on you. To enter you walk around the side of the house and into this small fenced off area… I don’t know if the fence was there to keep us contained or to keep animals from getting in or if it’s the kennel area for their dogs when it’s not rented, it was just very odd.The “view” is beautiful if you look out this one window in just the right direction. But we kept the drapes closed because it’s their backyard you’re looking into.Listening to them walk around above us, never saw them though… which is typical if the space is in a separate building but just added to the feeling of invading there personal space when we’re loyally living in there basement but there’s no contact. Individually none of these (except for the exposed wiring) is a big deal but added up. It just all felt odd, invasive, and unsettling.

Place was great and perfect for our one night- but things to note: bring your own k-pods or coffee (only one thing of decaf packaged coffee), bring own creamer. Full size fridge was a perk. Bed was very creaky with every roll over. Pillows and bed were very comfy though! Wi-fi provided, but no local interest suggestions.
