The Bird’s Nest is so lovely! What a peaceful retreat to rest and recharge. The host was so kind and helpful, there were tons of personal touches that made us feel even more comfortable, and everything was simply perfect. We can’t wait to stay again!

This was the perfect place for me and my daughter. (12 years old) she couldn’t stop talking about how much she loved this place. Located in a central area to most places we like to explore and a great size for us. The kitchenette was crucial to my decisions on this place as it provide the ability to cook meals so we didn’t have to go out to eat. Easy to keep the place tidy as well. We loved waking up every morning to the forest in the back yard. We felt extremely relaxed here, made lots of fun memories and shared lots of giggles. Lisa was so kind and has a beautiful garden to admire if you’re there at the right time. The birds are also amazing if you’re a birder! Place was clean and inviting upon arrival. All instructions were easy to follow as well. I will definitely be renting for my next visits to Washington to see my kiddo.

On our recent trip to Washington for a family wedding we had the pleasure of staying in the Bird Nest. It was a perfect spot for us. It felt as if we were on a retreat. Cozy, quiet and serene. Being right on the edge of a forest was delightful!The home was well-equipped with everything we needed. Coffee and snacks and sweet bouquets of flowers from the property. A nice touch for this flower loving guest.The bed was quite comfortable! I will definitely consider staying there again should we have an occasion to be in that area in the future.

Fantastic little apartment! Our host were very thoughtful in the details. It was very clean and cheerful with a private deck and beautiful paths that weaved through the property. Our hosts were warm, friendly and helpful when we had questions. There was a second room with a bunkbed if needed. We definately found a favorite stay place. Very peaceful and quiet.

This property is absolutely beautiful! I only wish we had more time to fully enjoy the tranquility it offers. It’s peaceful and secluded, surrounded by gorgeous greenery, yet still conveniently close to town. Perfect for family fun, games, and relaxation, with all the right amenities provided. The host was so kind, welcoming, and clearly put a lot of thought into making the space comfortable. The kids especially loved the thoughtful snacks left for us. I only wish we had more time to sip coffee on the deck and take in the lush, green surroundings.

We had the most wonderful stay at our first VRBO. Amenities were clearly listed. The trails on the property were clearly marked and we all enjoyed them. The space was clean, organized and even included snacks, water and ice. Our stay here was better than several hotels that we have stayed at. They also had a fire bowl where we could enjoy roasted hot dogs and marshmallows for smores. My kids had the greatest time. My favorite part was the comfortable armchairs where I sat and read to my hearts content.

Took a minute for my dog to trust going up the long staircase to the unit but he conquered his fear. It was quiet. The host and hostess are very friendly. The unit itself was clean and large enough to accommodate myself, my partner and little dog. The bed is a queen and a bit small for the two of us but we managed. I knew what I was up against. I am not a little guy. All in all a pleasant stay.

How is this for à review. Feel free to add/change:I so enjoyed my stay at the Bird’s Nest View!   What a beautiful and peaceful location! I needed a day away from my home while work was being done, and I wish I could have stayed here a lot longer. I love the homey decor and used their beautiful  little desk nook to get some work done on my laptop.  I was surprised that the microwave was also a convection oven which greatly expanded my  options for meals. I loved the outside patio and wish I had more time to enjoy the fire pit. The forest trails were lovely and serene and I saw an owl! I want to come back when I have more time.

Well equipped, comfortable place, very peaceful surroundings and very close to the wedding venue. Everything we needed was there. Stairs are a bit steep and the parking spot is a bit narrow. The host was very friendly.

Thank you. I am surprised that you included the stairs and parking spot in your comments and rating. The rental web page includes a clear picture of the stairs' ascent to the deck specifically for the purpose of letting guests know what to expect, and they are built to code. In addition, I just uploaded photos of the parking spot, showing it accommodates an SUV with both doors wide open, which is more room than most garages or parking spaces offer.

We didn't spend much time on site, we had booked a morning balloon flight, and were in need of a reasonably price, clean, comfortable location to spend the night. This was a great location, easy access. My only "complaint" was I live in the city and am used to some noise all night, this place might be thought of as too quiet! ;)We didn't take the time to walk the woods path, nor the offered evening fireside. But we did play some backgammon and trivia games that were stashed inside.Good times, we would love to get back sometime and explore the area.

Depending on what your plans are, this is such an ideal place to stay. I had a wedding to go to in Machias and about 5 minute drive to ceremony. Close to Everett, Lake Steven's, and Snohomish downtown.Host is very detailed with everything and place was so well kept up. Bed was comfortable. They have well water, but provided bottled water as an option. Well done, Lisa.
