This is an apartment building located in a building where permanent residents reside. Please be respectful of their home. You will also hear city noises (you are located right downtown) and potentially noise from neighbors. This is also an old historic building. The elevator is OLD. But very cool!!! There is no central HVAC. There is a window unit in the summer months and a radiator in colder months. Both work great.
Best for 1–2 guests: While the apartment technically accommodates up to 4 with an air mattress, the space is most comfortable for 1–2 people.
Bedroom privacy: The bedroom doors are glass, so please note that privacy may be limited in a group setting.
Building notes: This is a city apartment in a shared building — occasionally you may notice smells from other units. The building is 120 years old. If you are sensitive to that please be aware before finalizing your booking.
Elevator: The building has an elevator, but the sliding doors are heavy and may be difficult for some to use.
Parking: This unit comes with one registered parking spot. Because it’s downtown KC, there are times another car may take the spot by mistake. If that happens, I do my best to resolve it quickly — either by directing you to another spot or arranging for the car to be towed if needed.
Laundry facilities are in the basement. There is no in unit washer and dryer.

Overall a nice stay in a convenient location. Bed was very comfy and the AC window units did a great job keeping the apartment cool. AC units were a bit grimy but otherwise things were quite clean. I did not notice any “old building” smells, but did smell weed from elsewhere in the building several times (this did not bother me but if you are sensitive to that then be aware).The host was very kind and addressed all of my concerns during the stay, but responses generally took a few hours. I do not usually mind this, but there was a potential gas leak in the apartment which I would have liked a quicker response for.For accessibility, the elevator works great but the sliding doors that must be pushed aside to access it are quite heavy and may be challenging for some to use. Additionally, the parking space is very nice to have in this area and is close to the entrance, but it was taken multiple times during my stay. The host handled the issue for me, but be aware that the spot will likely be taken if you return after 8pm. Finally, the listing says the apartment sleeps 4, however I do not think this would be comfortable with more than 2 people. An air mattress is available but I genuinely do not know where it would fit as the living area is pretty small. The bedroom doors are also glass so privacy would be low in a group setting. The size is perfect for 1-2 people. Overall the stay was lovely and served my needs well but I want to make sure others are not caught off guard!

Comfy bed and close to all the fun
This place was great. It came with its own parking spot and was close to all the speakeasys bars, food and fun. The bed was also super comfy memory foam which is very important to me.
