The cottage overlooks Penobscot Bay. It has one bedroom, two sleeping lofts, and a daybed. The main living/dining room has a vaulted ceiling and windows across all three walls, overlooking the bay. That room contains the daybed. One sleeping loft is above the main room and looks across the bay. The other loft is over the kitchen and looks across a western field. There is one, full, bathroom in the cottage, with a good-sized shower. The kitchen has a refrigerator, microwave, 4-burner stove with oven, large sink, no dishwasher. The cottage has a deck overlooking the bay, on which there's a large gas grill, chairs, and small tables. There are Adirondack-style chairs on the lawn as well as a firetable. One canoe and two sit-in-top kayaks are onsite for renters to use, at their own risk. A short set of stairs lead from the cottage lawn down to the water. The cottage was built in 1954 and has been significantly renovated since. It is unpretentious, but lovingly designed, intended to provide the calm that comes from beauty and peace.
