This was the worst short term rental experience Ive ever had. We arrived at 5pm on Saturday evening to find that the property management company had delisted the property and the key removed from the lockbox. The woman in charge of interacting with us was kind and seemed out of the loop as she too was confused about the key being gone She drove and met us at the property and hour later and, when her key didn't work on the property either, offered to let us stay in a nearby property while she figured out what was going on. Ultimately the following day she told us we could not use the property we had rented and could either stay in the dumpy, dirty apartment we had slept in the previous night or receive a refund. Unfortunately there were simply no other rental or hotel options available for the week we planned to be in NYC so we didn't have much of a choice but to accept. A nominal refund was offered but no concession for the hours of waiting and relocating the night before. Also the property we stayed in was disgustingly dirty and unkept. Gobs of dust piled up in corners, a used bandaid on the windowsill, AC units that were so old and loud they kept us up, dirty walls, a painted tub where the caulking and paint on the tub were both peeling, the list goes on and on...there's no way the small concession reflected the difference in quality of the two units or the inconvenience of being 10 blocks from the rest of our group.
