"Sunrise Beach" ist ein Ferienhaus am Meer in South Nags Head, direkt am Meer, mit herrlichem Meerblick! Genießen Sie den direkten Zugang zu den weniger überfüllten Strände von South Nags Head. House was right on the beach! Made it very easy with 1 year. Only issue was parking we had 2 F150s and barely got 1 in the designated parking spot- the neighbor allowed us to park other vehicle next door. House overall was nice- great ocean views from both decks.

Relaxing beach cottage

We loved our stay at 405 Sunrise Beach. The cottage is just steps to the ocean. The neighborhood is quiet, and very family friendly. All the attractions are just a few miles away. The property itself could use some updates. The beds could use new mattresses, the kitchen could use an upgrade to everything. There is normal wear and tear on the cottage, due to the salty ocean air. It is an older beach cottage. BUT we loved it anyway.

The house was too dirty for the rental amount. I expected it to be cleaner and the pots and pans to be in better condition. I was tempted to throw some away. The kitchen floor was very dirty. The refrigerator needed a deep clean which I was not going to do. The downstairs - bedrooms and bathrooms were in pretty clean shape. Beds were comfortable. The common area was clean. The steps were really dirty. The location was AWESOME. Best location we ever stayed at. If they would just clean it up!

50th birthday weekend

The house was not fully ready for guests and needs maintenance and updating. This property has a great location but is in need of TLC. It seemed very unstable (significantly swayed all night long) and could use new flooring and indoor furniture. (Kitchen table is an outdoor set?) We also didn’t have any WiFi set up in the house until the last day of our stay, which was extremely inconvenient. Although the spectrum guy was wonderful, I wasn’t planning to have to spend my Saturday afternoon with him. 😞 We would not choose this property again.

We're so sorry for the issues you encountered with the internet, but for future guests, this home is now with a new cable provider that offers a very stable connection for the Outer Banks and has great customer service and responsiveness. As for the home swaying, please note that many homes on the Outer Banks are set on pilings that raise the home from ocean over-washes as well as made to sway in heavy winds so to lessen the impact of hurricane wind damage. We hope that, aside from these issues, you were able to enjoy your stay and experience all the Outer Banks has to offer!

The location of the property in proximity to things to do was perfect right on the beach was perfect. However, it did not say in the write up how unlevel the house actually is the doors you could not shut the sliding doors upstairs would not lock. They have a bar that you have to put in the door so you can secure it the AC system upstairs blows out black soot stuff the closet doors downstairs are off track because the floors are so unlevel you can’t open or shut them. You could not open the bedroom doors all the way because the floors were unlevel to such an extreme. water pressure is not good at all. Sand removal had not been done on the walkway nor underneath the house we had to dig out the water hose just to be able to use it and the outdoor shower under the house was totally unusable.

Unfortunately, as for sand accumulation at ocean-front homes, Nor'Eastern storms that hit in the spring often cause major sand buildups. While these sand piles are immediately removed by vendors when the storm is over, only days later do new storms bring in more buildup. Regardless, for future guests, if you ever have an issue with sand build-up, please do not hesitate to contact our office so that we may remedy the issue. Large home on the beach

We stayed the first week of November for our anniversary. We wanted a house on the beach and this property didn’t disappoint. The second floor kitchen and dining room were brand new and in excellent condition. The main level with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a living area were old and needed updating. The mattresses were all old and flat, none of the windows sealed (it was very windy and rainy during our stay and the draft was very strong through every windows) the wood paneling through has signs of previous water damage. The house shook in the wind. The furniture and carpeting on the first floor is old and hopefully the owners update it with LVP like on the second level. The south side bathroom sink was broken and disconnected at check in and we said we didn’t need it fixed. The main bathroom shower door was not properly installed and almost hit my wood when it fell off the track, the washing machine controls were broken. Overall, it was a decent house with a great location (probably more enjoyable in the summer months) but I would look elsewhere next time

Nice Location

The places saving grace was being on the beach. There were several things in need of simple maintenance, like the duct taped $5.00 blinds. A little TLC, deep cleaning, and maintenance would go a long way with this place. The front window was so covered in bird poop that you couldn’t see out. We mentioned it in a minor complaint and nothing was done, so I cleaned it as best I could on my own. The place was reasonable for the capacity and location but we will probably opt to stay at a location that is better kept, cleaned, and maintained in the future.

Beach in April

Spring break for the grandchildren is what drove me to this choice of mini vacation. Even though the weather wasn't perfect we were still able to do some surf fishing, building sandcastles, flying kites, seashell hunting all as a family. It made it easy with direct beach access staying at Sunrise Beach cottage. We were even able to do some ghost crabbing at night that children (young and old) love to do. Convenience to stores. The cottage was old but so warm and welcoming. The view was awesome and the sounds of the ocean were thrilling. We saw dolphin play and pelicans fly each day right from the decks . The realtor/owner were so ready to assist with any needs. We would definitely stay again.

We loved it!

This place is a little dated and a little crooked but that added to its charm. It was VERY clean and we were very happy about that because that's a big deal for us. We loved that it was so close to the beach! Our kids (age 7-11) were able to walk down there by themselves as we watched them from the spacious decks. From either deck, you can see the sound in the distance from one side and the ocean from the other. We had an amazing time and would go back to this place for sure! The ONLY thing I would change is that I would put new mattress/box spring sets in each room.

We absolutely loved the location - just a few steps from a beautiful beach that you pretty much own. Great views of the ocean. The property is dated and while everything is in a working order it needs updates. Windows wouldn't stay open, carpet is old, no microwave... Some cosmetic updates would make it a truly great stay.

Thank you so much for your feedback on this rental home! I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay and will definitely be forwarding this information to the owners so they can address the carpet and other updates for the 2018 season. I have also passed this information to our maintenance department to address the windows as well as look into the microwave situation, as all of our properties should have at least one microwave in each kitchen area.
