While this home is located on the beach road, a 35mph road next to the ocean, the crosswalk to the beach access is one home over (can be seen in picture #2's aerial view) and traffic is legally required to stop for pedestrians at each crosswalk. For future guests, while our homes are cleaned and then inspected by a separate crew to ensure cleaning standards, if you ever have an issue with cleaning or any other problem during your stay, please do not hesitate to let us know so that we may immediately remedy any issue. We take feedback very seriously, and use all reviews and comments to constantly find ways to better future guest stays. For current guests, we also stay in constant communication, by calling guests the day of arrival to inform them that the home is ready, a follow-up call to make sure their check-in process is going smoothly and that all is in good condition, and then make a call after a guest's stay to obtain feedback and wish a safe trip home. This is where this review has us puzzled, as this review was presented to the cleaning manager, property manager, and reservationists, where all thought this guest had a pleasant stay. Checking the voice records, there was even a call made around 12:45pm on 9/12, the Monday during the stay, where the guest reported that during the check-in, "everything was great." So, we're very sorry to hear that between that time and the end of your stay, things went wrong at some point. While I see an after-stay call was made on the day of check-out, 9/17 around 1:20pm, there was no answer and a message was left on voicemail. For future guests, we strive to ensure a great stay at all of our rental homes, so if you ever encounter any issue during your stay, please let us know so that we can do what it takes to provide you with a worry-free vacation. We do hope that, aside from these issues, you were able to enjoy all the area has to offer!

I am so sorry that your experience with this rental home was so negative. After looking through all the notes and maintenance requests attached to your reservation, I only see that the dishwasher and a request for an additional window A/C (central A/C has since been repaired) was ever called in and reported. While I am very apologetic for any inconvenience you encountered during your stay, please immediately report any issues you encounter at a rental home. As we are a smaller company, our staff is able to address and remedy issues almost immediately, and our ultimate goal is to ensure that our guests are able to completely enjoy their vacation. Again, I am very sorry that you were unable to completely enjoy your stay here on the Outer Banks and please let us know if there is anything we can ever do to earn back your trust in providing memorable vacation experiences.

While bedding is purchased to the comfort level of the owners, we will definitely send your input about the master bed and fence to the owners for consideration.
