Located in a quiet portion of Manzanita, Oregon, enjoy what this 3-bedroom house has to offer, along with being one block from the beach on a dead end street. This vacation rental offers plenty of peace and quiet while sitting just one mile south of the center of town. Walk north along the beach to shopping and dining on Laneda Avenue, or head south to the hiking trails and solitude of Nehalem Bay State Park - it truly is the best of both worlds.

With 2 queen beds and 1 twin-over-1 full bunk bed, this pleasant property provides a wonderful space for guests to relax. Complete with a large, smart TV, streaming services, WiFi, a wood stove, pool table, and a washer/dryer, this sweet house also features 2 bathrooms, one with a bathtub and one with a shower. There is a new 2nd-floor deck that is quite nice for enjoying meals. A great place to call home base while you're away, we hope you enjoy your stay.

We had a great time at Gary's house over New Year's. The proximity to the beach was what drew us to the property--only a block from the ocean in our favorite quiet neighborhood of Manzanita, just down the street from Nehalem State Park. We enjoyed the dog-friendliness of the house, and the living room with smart TV and comfy couch were great. We also enjoyed having a pool table in the great room, and we spent many hours upstairs playing games. We hope to come back sometime soon.

The house was clean, well stocked, organized and cozy. We loved the open floor plan for kitchen, dining and living room. The deck outdoors was nice. Great location for just off the beach. Manzanita is a beautiful village. Gary, the owner/manager was very good at prompt communication.Our only issue was an odor in the master bedroom.

Our family of 5 had a great time at Gary's place! Beds were very comfortable, easy 1 block walk to the beach, so glad we could bring our little dog who loved running around on the beach. Had fun playing pool and scrabble.

Location was great, owner was a good communicator, house seemed well stocked, kids enjoyed the pool table, family liked the layout. Had to pack recycables out which was a pain and a mess, house smelled mildewy and moist until heat was turned on and dissipated after half a day or so, seemed like extra costs were tacked on in the end and we had a purchase some sort of insurance which was not indicated until we'd committed. Over all, it was a nice place and worked for our crew.

Great place for a family gathering

Our family enjoyed our stay here together—we cooked and ate, played pool, went on walks to the beach and town, and watched a home-made slideshow on the big TV. The house is both comfortable and well organized, so made it easy to find and keep track of things. It's also a short drive from special places like Hug Point and Neahkahnie Mountain. We hope to come back again!

A Beautiful Manzanita Weekend

Gary's place was just what we needed for a lovely weekend on the coast! We typically camp and decided to book a rental this time and are so happy we did. The short walk to the beach was convenient, and allowed us way more beach time than if we had to drive each time. The house was comfortable with fun extras like a wood stove fireplace and pool table. We enjoyed lounging on the deck in the sun with morning coffee and watching neighbors take their dogs down to the beach.

Things we enjoyed:-location-dog friendly Things we didn’t like:-house wasn’t cleaned and ready for us at check-in (4pm). We returned at 6:30 and it was cleaned.-house overall was very dirty and needs thorough deep cleaning.-beds were very hard/uncomfortable. -basic supplies were missing (paper towels).

This was a great place in a great area. The listing was not quite accurate. Although it says it sleeps 8 it does not. There are two queen beds, one full bed, and one twin bed. At most it sleeps 7. We were able to put up a couple of air mattresses and it worked for us but if you’re expecting beds for 8 this is not the case. Otherwise it was great.

Our stay was absolutely perfect for our family. Check in was easy, All appliances were new and updated. The house was WELL stocked and equipped with all the amenities listed! It was generously supplied with most anything we needed.The location was close to the beach, downtown and other fun activities, but also very quiet!Gary, the owner, was Very friendly and prompt in responding to questions or concerns we had! The best compliment I can give about this place is...It felt like home away from home vs a place we rented! We were very comfortable, not stressed, laughed and had so much to do!We have been camping at Nehelem State Park for the past 20 years as a family. We really Loved our stay and are hoping to make this our new family destination!I would Highly recomŋmend a trip to this beautiful home! You will not regret it!

Property was fine

Great location, average house, more run down than we expected, but nothing too horrible. Upstairs deck was nice. Garbage had not been picked up from whoever stayed there before and it was overflowing. Biggest issue was that there was a billing error and I ended paying 490 more than anticipated. VRBO showed a refund that I could not find on any account I own. Even after producing screenshots I still had to pay. The owner was as accommodating as they could be, although I was disappointed that even after providing proof to VRBO I still had to pay over a fear of negative review.

The host was very responsive. Make sure and have hot water turned on before check in time. We didn't use the fireplace, not cold enough. The kitchen is well supplied and the pots and pans areHigh quality. The induction stove is complicated to master, a tad frustrating. The beds are both very squeaky, one the foot board frame is so flimsy it feels like it will collapse. Both beds seemed to have an accumulation of sand, as if even though the sheets were clean, you could feel sand on the mattress pad . I slept between the top sheet and comforter. On a positive note, I must say it's overall the best place I have rented out of 3 places, but the others were sorely lacking. I would recommend this place because of the location and overall lay out. The pool table is a bit intrusive as it sits in the middle of the living room, but kinda cool to have.
