The house overall works. We would have loved a king bed. Easy access to the beach. Good shower down stairs perfect to keep the sand out. And 3 full baths upstairs makes things move along. We only got 1 television to work normally. In the middle bedroom. This house gave us a great place to have a weekend. With 4 of our grands.

Comfortable and clean, nice space. Great location. Thanks for the stay. If I had any complaint it would be the bed pillows are very firm, but that's on me, I need to travel with my own.

The location was excellent, the beach access was convenient, and the home was clean when we arrived. However, the listing photos appear to be outdated and don’t reflect the home’s current condition. The property feels much more dated in person than the photos suggest.There were also several maintenance issues. The upstairs deck showed significant weathering, the exterior stairs felt shaky, the carpet (why carpet at a beach house?) was heavily worn, and the bathroom fixtures had extensive corrosion and mineral buildup. The bathtub faucet in the only bathroom with a tub was not usable during our stay.We also found the listing somewhat inaccurate. It indicates that all three bathrooms have bathtubs, but the house actually has only one bathtub. The bedrooms also have very little closet or clothing storage, which made it difficult to unpack. Also two baths are en-suite- meaning the persons in third room had to go downstairs for a bathroomOverall, the house was adequate and the location was the highlight of the stay, but I think the photos and listing should be updated to more accurately reflect the property’s current condition and amenities so guests know what to expect.

Cozy welcoming home.

Plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Bedrooms are a good size. Large living area that we didn’t feel crowded. Very calming and peaceful place to stay. Great for families! Terrific views of the ocean.

Check in was very easy and smooth. Kitchen facilities were adequate. Location was awesome - very close to beach!Cleanliness was ok, there was carpet upstairs (which seems odd for a beach house) that definitely needed cleaning. It was very old and spotted. Otherwise ok.

Had a great stay.

Good property for people on a budget. If you are looking for an absolutely prestine property, this is not it. However, it is a great value and the aesthetics did not impact our ability to have a great time there.

While this is certainly not a brand new home, it did just receive all new carpeting and a fresh coat of paint on every wall in May. Perhaps, you were looking for something specific? Couples Weekend

The location of Phoenix Rising is great for walking to the beach and watching the sunrise and set. The layout of the house is perfect for 2 adult couples with 2 bedrooms having ensuite bathrooms. Hosts provides basic items for bathroom and kitchen.

Our stay could not have been better except if we owned the property ourselves!! Everything was clean, comfortable and inviting. Plans for next summer are already underway.

Surfside Texas - Phoenix Rising

Property was well furnished, tastefully decorated, and close to the beach. Water softener and water dispenser were definitely appreciated. Overall cleanliness was good, not great, but cleaning materials were available. Definitely would book again!

Great stay for vacay

It had everything we could possibly need and more. My only complaint is that the upstairs could have been cooler. It pretty much stayed warm up there all times. Other then that it was a great house!

My Sons 18 birthday

We had amazing time celebrating our son’s 18th birthday with a couple of friends. The rental was clean and had everything we needed. It’s very relaxing and laid back. Thank you for such a wonderful time.

Phoenix Rising, Surfside TX

The beach house had everything we needed--tableware, dishes, pots/pans, toaster, both Keurig and drip coffee makers, water filtration system, stacked washer/dryer, grill, linens, towels, WIFI, margarita machine--plus nice ocean views. With 3 bedrooms and 3 baths, there was plenty of space for 4 adults and a child and 2 dogs. Short walk to the beach; several local restaurants within walking distance. About 1-5 hours drive (for us)makes this an ideal destination for a last-minute trip for a long weekend.

Everything was excelent, just a few issues, at the end wonderful place

Coffe maker did not work, there was a really dirty cup and there was no enough beds for 8 people, but that will not stop me to rent the house agai.

Beach with a Rainbow

Everything was great even though this area had just suffered a hurricane blow. It’s understandable that property owners cannot control pick-up of debris piles out in front of properties. Management always worked with us on anything that came up. We had to extend our stay 3 times due to a death in our family in town while we were there. The house was great and had nice views too. The house is kept nice and everything in working order. Thank you for a great stay!!

Great location. Great house.

We rented this house for a long weekend. The photos don't really give you the feeling of house close to the beach you are at this property. It is just a few minutes walk (if that) from the beach. There's no need to take EVERYTHING to the beach, as you can easily go back and grab things as you want/need them. The house is perfect for a family. It would work well for two or three couples that want to rent a place. All three bedrooms have queen beds, so one couple wouldn't be stuck in bunk beds, as is often the case on beach homes. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything you will need and more. Check-in was very easy and painless. A/C is good enough to keep up with the Texas heat. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

Labor day birthday weekend

Great location with 3 min walk to beach. House was nice but pictures make rooms seem larger. Under rooms descriptions the wording seems that there is a bath/shower in each room. One is down stairs. Fully stocked for cooking and eating but bring paper plates as most of the dishes are glass. Oh... and the water there smells bad and the water dispenser in the living room was not working and not fit for drinking so don't forget to bring plenty of bottled water. Broken figurine on livingroom table... I took a pic to prove we didn't break it. A/C and fans kept it nice and cool. Beds were comfy. The house does not supply any beach equipment so bring chairs, beach cart etc. Beach bar was great fun... and you can hear the bands from the back deck. Overall... had agreat bday weekend.
