Unser Haus bietet einen Blick auf den Black River, nur wenige Schritte von der Innenstadt von South Haven und einen 7-minütigen Spaziergang entlang des Riverwalk zum South Beach und zum South Haven Lighthouse entfernt.
Die erste Etage unseres Hauses ist ein Strandhaus, das mit allen Annehmlichkeiten ausgestattet ist, die Sie für einen erholsamen Strandurlaub benötigen. Die Geschäfte und Restaurants von South Haven befinden sich buchstäblich um die Ecke.

South Haven wird zu einem Winterwunderland, das normalerweise über die Ferienzeit beginnt. Langlaufen, Schneeschuhwandern, Eislaufen und Rodeln gehören zu den Aktivitäten in der Nähe, insbesondere während des Ice Breaker Fest im Februar!

In der Saison, in der Regel von Memorial bis Labor Day, bevorzugen wir wöchentliche Anmietungen von Samstag bis Samstag zu 1.400 USD pro Woche.
Tagespreise von 250 USD (mindestens 3 Tage) sind auf Anfrage erhältlich.
Außerhalb der Saison, in der Regel vom 15. September bis 15. Mai, werden die Preise von 30 bis 50% abgezinst.

This is one of our favorite places to stay. The view of the marina, and the manicured lawn and gardens, is quite wonderful. Very peaceful, and relaxing. And yet, you are but a 5 minute walk to downtown. It is a location, and a property, that can't be beat.

We loved the location at the end of a dead-end road and the hosts were really nice people. We had a great time in SH and will come back sometime in the future. The only complaint is the floors are thin and we can hear the owners upstairs, but we loved the place.

Beautiful home in a great location. Close to the beach on a quiet street. Communication with host was very helpful. Easy check in. Fresh flowers in the unit and coffee were a nice touch. Beautiful garden and nice screened porch. Hope to visit again. Great weekend with friends.

Cute apartment!

The perfect size and accommodations for our group of 4. We loved and enjoyed sitting out on the screened in porch over looking the Black River. If you ever stay here, make sure you check out their impressive flower garden. My only request would be to have more comfortable beds.

Great location!

First, I want to compliment the host (John) who was very nice and great with communication before and during the whole trip. Second- the location was fantastic. It was the last house on a dead end right be the lake. I loved sitting on the covered porch swing and watching the boats. We could walk downtown (a couple blocks) or walk down to the Riverfront walk. Watching the beautiful sunset was a bonus. We ate dinner and shopped or just walked around South Haven. That town is hopping. We had to wait to get in restaurants. We also took a short drive to Saugantuck which was a beautiful artsy/charming town. We walked along the waterway, as well as ate there. Not sure why I waited so long to visit that area. It quickly become a favorite. Enjoy your trip if you go! Linda

Wonderful location

This apartment was perfect for our needs. Close to town and in a very quaint neighborhood. We had everything we needed . We also had access to beach chairs umbrellas coolers and anything we needed for beach days! Only slight complaint was the mattress on the queen bed but not a deal breaker. Had a wonderful time here drinking our coffee on the porch overlooking the harbor

We recently stayed at this lovely home with our two young children, aged four and six, and had a wonderful experience. The house was perfect for our family. It was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable—they provided clean towels, beach toys, and even activities to keep the kids entertained. Wonderful week!

We loved our week in South Haven! The house was exactly as pictured and described. It was a perfect location for walking to the beach and to downtown. John, Sally and Dan were so kind and helpful throughout the entire week. Our children loved exploring their beautiful garden. We will definitely be back!

Excellent location

We had an amazing two night stay here while I was in town for a HDPE event at Gingerman Raceway. The drive was less than 12 minutes to Gingerman and within walking distance of everything downtown South Haven including the beach. Terrific location, clean, and well maintained. Lovely garden as well. I also drive a lowered car and it was able to clear the driveway entry, just barely!

Owners Sally and John have lived or vacationed in Southwest Michigan for over 50 years. Crimson Sun became our permanent home in 2012, though we purchased the property in 2001, since John retired from a lifelong career with a global management and technology services company. Sally is an artist who enjoys depicting local scenes and activity wherever they happen to be in the world. Her creativity is fascinating and on display in our home and wherever else we have lived.
We enjoy travel having lived in Illinois, North Carolina, Washington state, Melbourne Australia and southwest Michigan. In addition, we've been fortunate to have visited every State in the USA, Canada, Mexico, much of Europe (Italy has been a favourite destination), the UK, Iceland, Ethiopia, Turkey, Greece, Nepal, India, most of Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Malaysian Borneo. We love the outdoors, natural flora and fauna including a passion for our natural environment. We completely rebuilt our home re-using or recycling everything possible dumpster-free. And, we're currently working to further improve our energy consumption and return our surrounding landscape to an indigenous and maintenance-free environment.

We enjoy meeting people from all walks of life, love to discuss any of our interests and most importantly, truly enjoy hearing the life stories of others. At the same time, we fully respect your desire to be "on holiday" with a break from other people. So, our goal is to help you achieve whatever you intend by visiting our part of the world.
