We agree that the location is perfect as it is centered between the South Beach and all of the shops and restaurants in downtown South Haven. Once you park your car, you never need to get in it again until it is time to go home. Everything you need is within walking distance from the house. Our property does not have a huge yard. There is a modest front and side yard. Our home does however have two great outdoor spaces for relaxing: a front porch as well as a spacious back deck. While we might not have much of a yard, we do have South Haven's spectacular South Beach within a ten minute walk from our house. The South Beach has playground equipment, a concession stand, public wash rooms and the iconic red light house. Also within a short walk is "Kid's Corners" which is the best park in all of South Haven! Kids Corners has an unbelievable wood jungle gym which is sure to keep your children or grandchildren busy for hours. As the reviewer mentioned, our home is also a very short walk from all of the shops and restaurants in downtown South Haven. So while we may not have much yard space, our home is ideally located right between downtown South Haven and Lake Michigan. Not much down side to that if you ask us! This review also mentions the beds and bedding could be updated. The headboards, bed frames, box springs and mattresses were purchsed locally at Country House Furniture in South Haven in the Spring of 2015. The bedding was also purchased in the Spring of 2015. We alternate sets of sheets weekly as they are taken out to be laundered. The beds and bedding are used mostly in the summer months as this is a beach house and does not get a great deal of use during the off season. We also inspect our bed spreads regularly to see if they need to be mended or cleaned. Hopefully our attention to detail shows and is appreciated. We realize that different guests have different levels of expectations. We work very hard to provide our guests with the highest level of accommodations possible.
