We're happy to suggest local spots to check out such as excellent trout fishing in Chest Creek, which is walking distance (less than 50 yds away from Shady Pines) and short 10 min drives to our other great local attractions such as Rock Run ATV park and Prince Gallitzin State Park. We are a short drive (25 mins) to Penn State University-Altoona and (45-50 mins) to Penn State University-State College, where you will find the Bryce Jordan Center for concerts and other events and Beaver Stadium for Penn State football games.
