Das "Sandbox" ist ein hübsches Cottage mit 3 Schlafzimmern, nur 187 Schritte vom schönen Popham Beach entfernt. Es bietet Gezeitenpools, Inseln, Leuchttürme, einen über 5 km langen Sandstrand und zwei alte Steinfestungen, die Sie erkunden können.

Das Cottage bietet bequem Platz für sechs Gäste mit Schlafgelegenheiten, die aus zwei traditionellen Schlafzimmern (einem Queensize-Bett und zwei Einzelbetten) und einem großen Bett in unserem atemberaubenden Wintergarten bestehen.

Die "Sandbox" befindet sich in der historischen malerischen Gemeinde Popham Village. Sie können am Strand spazieren gehen, angeln, schwimmen, wandern und Muscheln sammeln. Wenn Sie hungrig sind, können Sie nur 5 Minuten zu Fuß zum Restaurant Spinney's gehen, um ein Frühstück, Mittagessen, Abendessen ODER Eis am Meer zu genießen.

Das Ferienhaus verfügt über Internet, Spiele, Rätsel, einen Propangrill, eine DVD-Bibliothek und einen Gaskamin für jene nebligen Nächte an der Küste, in denen Sie einfach nur bleiben und sich entspannen möchten. Der große Wintergarten ist gleichzeitig ein Gemeinschaftsraum, in dem sich Freunde und Familie entspannen können, während sie dem Rauschen der Meeresbrandung lauschen, die das Cottage umgibt. Außerdem ist er ein unglaubliches Schlafzimmer.

This was a very comfortable cottage. My son and his family stayed in it and they loved it. It has a wonderful yard for the kids to play in while the parents were busy and it was close to the beach. They enjoyed the games and the books.

The Sandbox is a gem of a property. Very clean, comfortable and spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and plenty of room for kids and dogs, inside and out. Lynn and Ben could not be friendlier or more helpful. I would love to have them as neighbors.We loved every minute of our stay and hope to return.

We have been guests at The Sandbox for the last few years. Our grandkids call it 'Our Tradition'. Cozy cottage, great yard and truly a short walk to the beach. Lovely neighborhood where we ride bikes and access to wharf, Spinney's and the fort are added bonuses.

Great family vacation

Popham Stay

Overall, the property was lovely and comfortable. Ben & Lynn were responsive & checked in. The Mosquitos were bad but that would be the case anywhere. The porch allowed us to enjoy the outdoors, view the birds, etc. Highly recommend the property, although I would caution that the 3rd bed was on the porch but didn’t have shades on the windows & didn’t offer privacy. I would not consider, it as a 3rd bedroom. It was made up & looked comfortable for an afternoon nap, on the porch. Definitely, would return!

very chill and close to the beach!

We loved our days at Popham Beach. The house was the perfect size for our family, our dog was happy, and the beach access was phenomenal. The only dissapointment was that we couldn't enjoy the outdoor dining area or the deck because it was super buggy -- but that's how it goes some times! We loved the rental and hope to be back.

Lovely Maine coastal cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this nice cottage just steps away from miles of beaches. Lots of fun exploring this beautiful rugged (and remote) area. This had all the features we needed and great communication with the owners. We would stay again!

Fabulous location, very well appointed Cottage.

We had a wonderful time at this cottage. The location could not have been better. The large screened-in porch was a fantastic place to relax and read. We had wonderful long walks on beautiful Popham beach daily. What a perfect place to get away from it all.

Wonderful time at Popham Beach

We enjoyed every minute of our stay! Lynn's sweet cottage is charming and inviting. There is plenty of space and comfortable corner that allowed us to enjoy quiet time, meals outdoors, breakfast on the porch, and lots of time to relax. The location made it easy to spend the day at our favorite beach. Lynn was gracious and helpful -- she went above and beyond to make our stay a true vacation.

Lovely early summer stay

The wonderful wide, sandy beach abutting the State Park is just heaven. Pups loved stick play in the water. Early summer is rainy and sunny both and a bit cool. Definitely jacket weather and good sleeping weather. The wild beach roses were in full bloom and there were no crowds! All in all a lovely vacation.

I am a Maniac. Born in Portland, and summered in Bar Harbor where both my Parents were born. I have lived in the Vermont, San Francisco and the Florida Keys but, Maine is where I now call home. I love the smell of the salt air, the endless adventures to the small seaside villages and the abundance of festivals, craft fairs and outdoor activities.

Popham Beach is such a magical place on the Midcoast of Maine. The beach has soft clean sand with PLENTY of room to spread out your blanket and have a quiet day relaxing and watching the abundant wildlife. The history of Popham is fascinating from colonial settlements to ship building. And, the proximity to Freeport, Portland, Boothbay makes day tripping a breeze!

This cottage is nestled on a one acre lot only 1-2 minute walk to the beach. It is wonderful to have the amenity of strolling, swimming and fishing however, getting away at the end of the day and sitting on the porch listening to surf at a private cottage is the best of both worlds.
