We were in the area for a graduation, so the house with 5 large bedrooms, a nice backyard including a canopy was perfect for us. The house was exactly as pictured, and large enough for everyone. There were a few little things that weren't smooth- like getting the wifi password or access to both TVs at the same time, but otherwise it was an excellent stay. Would definitely stay again. We were able to check in about 30 minutes early, which was helpful.

The worst communication EVER. A couple times he did not get back to me for about a week. We asked to get in a little early and he said he had to get back to me, but never did. We showed up about 20 minutes prior to our check in (because it was over 4 hours since we asked for the early check in) and we again tried to contact him with no reply. When he did get back to us, and it was now the time for check in. He said because we were early, he had to process a CODE to get us in the door and said it may take a few minutes. (it felt like a lie)The house was pretty infested with ants and had no coffee as described in the listing. His wife came to the house and she was very apologetic. She went to the store and bought us bug spray and coffee. There was very little toilet paper, so we pick us some from the store. He told me that the house had enough toilet paper, but he obviously did not know.Plug sockets in two of the bathrooms had NO POWER! he told me that the house was checked out prior to our arrival and he thought they worked. (this was a lie)Really not a lot of kitchen items to really have a good meal, and NO BBQ. There were towels in each bathroom but were really the lowest thin quality and about half the size of a normal towel. One towel per person for 4 days. I think the owner needs to check in on the host of this property, then find a different host.The house has potential, but not under the current host.

I can’t review this property fully, because we never got to stay there. I would leave no stars if possible. Like other reviews stated, the host communication was non-existent, until I got vrbo involved. At that point, they reached out to see what I needed, then never responded again. All in all, I had to spend 1.75 hours on the phone to get this issue resolved. I highly advise to avoid this host. If like me, you book before reading the reviews, do yourself a favor and get on top of obtaining check-in instructions/different accommodations, before you leave for your trip. vrbo made right of the situation, but this was an incredibly annoying experience.

Horrible communication

1 minute before check in we were cancelled only after I reached out to get access information, had to book another place last minute which cost 2 times as much. Tried to get some kind of compensation, like one night stay free later since I had to pay double to stay somewhere else, they will not respond. Dates are also wrong we were Friday to Saturday not Thursday to Friday

Cancelled 2 hours before check in

I started messaging at 10 in the morning for the check-in info. No reply. I messaged again at 1 when my car was packed and i was ready to start driving. No reply. About 10 minuts later i got a call from VRBO telling me the host was cancelling because of plumbing issues. I would like some proof of that because i doubt it. What a mess. I had arranged the lodging for my family and 5 other friends. We were all meeting there from different locations. The best I could fo was find hotel room which cost a lot more. Some friends just opted not yo come. We were VERY disappointed and STRESSED. It really put a damper on our weekend. This host should be banned from VRBO as We are not thr first to experience this disregard!

Debating to give this review

Don’t usually like to leave negative reviews because we don’t usually have a bad experience but the check in was the worst part. Never received the code to check into the property at the schedule time 3:00pm. Contacted the host numerous times with no response. Finally got a hold of VRBO customer service to notify them about the situation and they too could not get ahold of the owner/host. VRBO was preparing to place us in a hotel but they could not find a place with four rooms available to accommodate the amount of people we had in our party. The host finally responded and gave the code for the property. Got there, no information provided on other information such as WiFi info which was later given after contacting host once more. The host then texted me later that evening giving the instructions for check out because he thought our check out was the next day. It just seemed like the knowledge of this itinerary was not comprehended by the host, maybe a new host?There were various areas of the home that needed attention with cleanliness and we took care of it. The master bathroom’s window blinds were missing pieces allowing access for the neighbors to see right into the bathroom giving a view of you showering. We had to hang a sheet on the window so they couldn’t see in. There were no extra linens/towels, had to wash in between the days. The heating was not working properly, upstairs would get so hot and downstairs stayed cold. Luckily most of the bedrooms are upstairs.
