Perfect location for our trip. Wonderful place, so quiet. Spotless. They have chickens nearby, but you rarely hear them - we actually enjoyed when we did. The hosts had great communication which was important to us. 10/10 for us.Larry

Very nicely appointed place on a quiet street in a family neighborhood. Clean and comfortable. The mattress is terrific, and George and Janelle were extremely responsive and considerate. Would stay again without hesitation.

The property was extremely clean. Furniture was comfortable. Amenities were fine. Communication and responsiveness of the owner was exceptional. The only distraction was the stairwell down to the basement bedroom. Steep, slippery stairs and handrail only halfway down. Looks like a lawsuit waiting to occur.

Matt- We are glad you thought highly of the furniture, cleanliness and amenities! I'm a little surprised about the comment about the stairs. They are of a standard width, riser height, and safety standards. We have not had anyone comment before in the 40 stays our unit has had over all the apps. We do know the stairs were a surprise to your group as it was your first stay with VRBO and the listing wasn't fully reviewed. We hope to meet your standards better in the future.

The location was rural and peaceful. I would not say in walking distance to much so would not recommend it without a car however we knew this prior and liked the location due to it's proximity between Boston centre & the Gillette stadium in Foxborough (both approx half an hour away via car) as we had plans to visit both being there for the World Cup. The local town Hingham had a lovely cafe for breakfast called Stars and a nice park and marina across the road. The property itself was lovely, very tastefully decorated & well equipped. Sofa and beds very comfortable too. My critique of the place would be that with it being rural with a lovely garden I would have expected to be able to use the back door and have a seating area outside however the kitchen/back door had a sign on saying use in emergency only and no outside seating area which given location and how pretty, it was a bit disappointing. We were also made aware that we had been watched on CCTV which I felt to be intrusive. There had been a misunderstanding regarding the property being non smoking as my husband was seen smoking on the grounds. We had misunderstood as only a non smoking house. However it is non smoking even on the grounds/garden entirity which we had not been clear on. It is understandable given the woodland and heat etc could be a fire hazard so no hard feelings about this. I would recommend this property 100% as it is spacious, immaculately clean and comfortable like a home from home.

We appreciate your recommendation of our property. The booking does clearly mention there are no outdoor areas accessible to guests and there is a security camera on the exterior. We hope you give us another opportunity for a 5 star stay.
