My family of 3 had the best stay! This place is a step above the rest! It’s extremely clean, fully stocked kitchen (loved the coffee station)and bathroom. Elise provides extras, like the coffee station, kitchen essentials, body wash, shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom! I appreciated all of the little extras that make this place like home for your stay! To top it all off, a beautiful view of the water from sunrise to sunset. Great area outside to hang out, eat, grill, have a bonfire right on the beach! Elise communicated with me as we prepared to stay until we left. She’s a wonderful host! If you’re looking to stay in Winthrop, this is your place!

We loved our stay here. The cottage is spotlessly clean, and comfortable with a wonderful view of the water. The cottage is exactly as presented and so much more. Elise is a wonderful hostess and so easy to communicate with about any questions you may have as well as tips on local restaurants or activities. New England springs are finicky, but we took advantage of a few days of sunny, warmish weather to kick back in beach chairs off the back deck and just listen to the surf. So relaxing! Even though we live in the local area, we felt like we were worlds away in a special vacation spot! We hope to come back again soon.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this vacation rental! The apartment is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable. It truly felt like a home away from home.One of the highlights was the unbeatable beachfront location. Waking up to the amazing ocean view right outside the bedroom window was simply breathtaking.We also loved that we were able to bring our dog with us, which made the trip even more special.The location is perfect for exploring the area. It’s conveniently situated for visiting Boston’s top sights, including the Faneuil Hall area, while also being close drive to charming coastal towns.Elise, the host, was extremely responsive, warm, and welcoming, making the entire experience seamless from start to finish.We highly recommend this beautiful place. Hidden Gem, Darling decor

Check in was a breeze, Elise, the owner, knows answers to questions you didn't even have to ask! Kitchen is well stocked, even some snacks to enjoy. There's a lovely bedrm, comfy sheets & towels. Elise even has a sound machine incase you like white noise to sleep.

Amazing!!!

We came to visit Boston coming from Texas and this location was absolutely amazing! Very beautiful view of the ocean everyday, and not too far away from the city life. Elise was amazing with making sure our stay was amazing and was easily available for any questions we may have. Hopefully will come back to Boston someday!

This is a gem of a place. Easy check in and out, super friendly and helpful host, and immaculate accommodations inside and out. The beach is literally out your back door! The house was stocked with basic essentials like laundry pods, coffee and even some snacks! Communication was very easy with Elise and when we needed something, she was on it. I would 100% stay here again.

Amazing Spot and Hosts!

I couldn’t be more happy with our stay at this property in Winthrop. You’re directly on the oceanfront, you have a private spot for yourself (before the public beach), and are just steps away from entering the water. The hosts themselves are just so incredible and accommodating. They constantly checked in to see how we were doing, asking us about our son and dog’s time at the property, and wanted to be as accommodating as possible to make sure our stay was great. Cannot wait to stay here again. Absolute gem of a spot!

Our stay at this beach house was very disappointing and did not match the listing. The property was advertised as a one-bedroom, but the space was not actually a true bedroom. It had no door and was completely open to the living room area, offering no privacy. The Murphy bed was located on an enclosed porch area, not in a private bedroom, and it was extremely uncomfortable for sleeping.The living room sleeping arrangement was also misrepresented. The sofa was advertised as a pull-out, with was not. The foam mattress provided was much too large for the couch, did not fit properly, and was very uncomfortable. There was essentially no comfortable sleeping option.The location was also not accurately represented.The house is directly under the flight path for Logan Airport, with planes taking off and landing directly overhead throughout the day. The noise was constant and made it difficult to relax or enjoy the outdoor space.Privacy was a major concern. It was never disclosed that the owner lives on the property. The owner was frequently present directly at the rental area and outside around the property, the overall situation did not feel like we had the privacy and separation we expected when renting a vacation home.The beach itself was disappointing. Extremity rocky and suitable for walking along shoreline.

While your review is disappointing, it is not surprising. Our property is an open concept 1 BR unit, as specifically described in our listing. The entire space is EXACTLY as pictured on our listing. Many of our awesome reviews mention how comfortable the unit is as a whole, including sleeping. Our presence, which was very infrequent during your stay, has never been an issue for ANY past guests. To improve your experience at future VRBO properties, I highly recommend reading the listing thoroughly, communicate when necessary and follow the house rules. You also should also disclose you have a pet when booking. We love hosting responsible pet owners. The parting domestic altercation that could be heard by our neighbors, was quite concerning. We take pride in our property and will continue to do all we can for guests to enjoy their time at our unit.

Perfect location, perfect property, absolute best host to boot! We couldn’t recommend this property enough. Elise was amazing from beginning to end and was so accommodating. We enjoyed sitting on the deck there our first night and spend the second day in Boston, which was such an easy drive in. We spend our last full day enjoying the house and the beach which is steps away. We felt right at home and even cooked at the house. The house was fully equipped with everything you’d need.

My boyfriend, my fur baby Bruin stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights. It was the best vacation we’ve had in a long time. Very relaxing and quiet - minus the planes but it was cool to watch the planes coming in and out and it’s really not loud from inside the house. It was super clean and the bed was wicked comfy. Bruin learned to swim and loved rolling in the sand on the beach. The house had everything we needed. It was the perfect little get away. We are already planning on making this our yearly vacation spot!

The property is a beautiful shotgun style apartment that is very well appointed with new appliances, pans etc...There is a lovely deck situated on a private, secluded beach. The hosts are wonderful and did everything they could to make us feel welcome. You are within walking distance of the ferry that can take you into Boston and some cute restaurants. The only reason for not giving the place 5 stars is that the airplane noise is pretty significant and went on pretty much all day with few breaks, making it hard to sit outside and enjoy the beach. We were hoping for some quiet R&R by the ocean, and found the unpredictable noise impacted our stay.

I cannot say enough about how amazing our weekend away at Sea La Vie was! I would recommend this over and over. The home is absolutely beautiful and is exactly as each picture shown. Myself, my husband and our fur baby felt right at home. Craig & Elise are the nicest people and extremely accommodating. Elise had the kitchen stocked with more than I could have imagined, varieties of coffee & tea along with sugars, sweeteners, creamers and a cabinet of snacks. The bathroom provided shampoo, conditioner, body wash and the softes towels! I feel they go over and above to provide an exceptional getaway. So relaxing to hear the waves crashing out your window and to step out the door and right into the sand!!
