Summary:
You'll love staying in this beautiful home in the Mid-City neighborhood of New Orleans! Live like a local as you enjoy:

- Easy access to the historic French Quarter - The street car, bike rentals, and the Lafitte Greenway are all within 2 blocks of the home

The Space:
The home is nice and open with plenty of space to relax. The home includes central heating and A/C, a washer and dryer within the home, super high speed fiber optic internet service, high pressure shower, ceiling fans in both of the bedrooms and living room to keep cool, and much more. The living room and kitchen are nice open spaces with plenty of seating and space to relax and eat. Both of the bedrooms have brand new carpet floors and closets to keep everything cozy and organized.

The home was originally built around 1910 and recently renovated, but we maintained many of the historical elements of the home including: Trim work, the original wood floors (refinished), and the original doors and windows maintaining it's New Orleans feel. Also, the front porch has plenty of sun light and is a great place to relax and have a drink.

This location is a tri-plex with three total homes on the location: this home is the two bedroom unit on the right side facing the front yard. It's a beautiful home and in an amazing location.

Guest Access:
Guest will have access to the home through a smart lock on the front door. To ensure safety, each guest is assigned their own four digit code which activates at their scheduled check-in, and deactivates after their check-out. The front porch is shared with the home next door, but they will have their own space with a table and chairs to be able to enjoy the nice weather.

Parking is super convenient, the street directly in front of the house is very well lit and has free parking on both sides, as do all of the surrounding streets. Aside from big events like Mardi Gras day you won't have a problem finding a spot very close to the home.

The Neighborhood:
This location is AMAZING. Within just a few blocks you have: two giant grocery stores, CVS, some of the most popular bars and restaurants in the city, the Lafitte Greenway which is a bike path that goes directly into the French Quarter, City Park, multiple gyms and fitness centers, the famous Street Car, and bike rentals. You literally never have to drive or Uber/Lyft anywhere if you don't want.

And for big events and festivals, it doesn't get much better. This location is only one block away from the biggest Mardi Gras parade route (Endymion), just a few blocks from City Park which throws a ton of festivals throughout the year including Voodoo Fest, and less than a mile from the Fairgrounds which is home to Jazz Fest and other large events.

Our street is closed at both ends, so the only people that go through are other locals and guests who live on the street making it one of the safest and quietest streets in Mid-City.

Getting Around:
Street parking is free and easy. There are plenty of spots immediately in front of the home and on all of the nearby streets, you won't have any issues finding a nearby spot.

Walking and biking is extremely easy and convenient. With dozens of bars and restaurants within just a few blocks you'll never have to drive anywhere. The beautiful City Park just a 5 minute walk away, and the Lafitte Greenway (a bike path going directly into the French Quarter) just one block away you can get anywhere in no time.

There is also a New Orleans Blue Bike station about 2 blocks away, allowing you to rent electric-assist bikes at $0.15 / minute to get wherever you'd like to go. Uber and Lyft are also very easy and convenient from our location. It's about a 15-20 minute bike ride to get into the French Quarter, a 45 minute walk, or about a 10 minute drive.

Other Things to Note:
MARDI GRAS: The home is one block away from the parade route of the biggest Mardi Gras Parade in the city - Endymion. This is one of the most convenient homes you'll ever find to be able to experience the thrill of Mardi Gras like a true local without having to worry about getting around town or finding a bathroom (a common issue people have when they have to travel to get to the parade route).

JAZZ FEST: The home is about a mile away from Jazz Festival, making getting to and from the concerts extremely easy. Door to door it's about a 25 minute walk to get to the festival, or about a 7-8 minute bike ride if you want to grab one of the pay per minute blue bikes (blue bike station is located about 2 blocks from the house). If you decide to walk there are plenty of good bars and restaurants along the way so you can enjoy a drink while you stroll to the festivities. It's just far enough away from the festival to be able to enjoy peace and quiet while at home, but close enough to be able to avoid driving and the insane traffic without having to miss any of the music.

Excellent place for visiting New Orleans

The property was very clean and had everything we needed for a week long stay in New Orleans. This location is close to the streetcar for heading down to Bourbon St, which was perfect for us. Also, City Park is a close walk and cool place to explore. Instructions for check-in and check-out were easy and Devin is very responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

Location, location, location!

This place was exactly what we needed for our family of four. There's a grocery store, CVS, coffee shop, streetcar stop, and basically everything else within 2 blocks. City Park is just down the street. Comfortable accommodations within a classic shotgun house for a New Orleans feel, but not so fancy that you feel like you can't make yourself at home. Devin was quick to respond when we needed help with the streaming services, too. Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful stay!

We stayed at Devin's place for a short weekend getaway to New Orleans. It was lovely property and a perfect location for our needs. The home was very inviting, comfortable, clean and well stocked for all our needs. Devin checked in with us often and was very accommodating. It was my birthday the weekend we stayed, and they presented me with a bottle of wine. I would highly recommend a stay at this property!

We stayed four nights. The house is literally a two minute walk to the streetcar on Carrollton, a CVS, and a Winn Dixie. It’s very clean and well-appointed. Birthday Trip

We spent four nights here for our son’s 21st birthday. The location was perfect for public transportation and easy drive anywhere we wanted to visit. There was a grocery store a block away and a CVS across the street. Property was perfect for the four of us and provided us with anything we needed. We were also always able to park our truck in front of the property. If ever visiting New Orleans again would definitely stay at this property.

Fantastic Stay!

We are a party of 4 adults who have stayed in 4 other Vrbo houses prior to our arrival in New Orleans. I can honestly say hand on heart that this was by far the best one! The house was immaculately clean and the location was perfect with a pharmacy and supermarket only a 3/5 min walk away Plenty of bars/restaurants within walking distance. Great bus/trolley car transportation links.Devin the host was amazing, very attentive,accommodating and supportive when one of our party required medical treatment. We would definitely stay here again if we were to revisit New Orleans! We highly recommend this beautiful home!

Great Stay - super convenient!

This is a great property. It is super clean and had lots of room. We were in NOLA for our son's rugby tournament and some sight seeing and this was a great option as parking was free and plentiful right in front of the house for our comings and goings. Also we were within walking distance to a grocery store, a drug store, and several restaurants which was super convenient. City Park is very close and I was also able to jog there two mornings for great little runs. The owner was very easy to communicate with and we really appreciated that there we tons of new towels, coffee, and anything you could need provided. We highly recommend this place.

Took a chance

From the start of this booking, the owner was fabulous and detailed! He left us eith valuable information, let us in earlier, and even thought about a first aid kit in his place! As a nurse, I appreciated that along with the fact it was very clean and comfortable to be there. I wasn’t sure about where to stay in New Orleans and I took a chance on this property but it was great as everything you need is in walking distance. We didn’t use a vehicle and was able to get places with the transportation system that worked in our advantage. It is cheap and within walking distance of this rental. The beds were very comfortable and everything you need is there! I feel safe at all times! I recommend this rental highly if you are a practical person who wants a clean, quiet and cute place in mid city! It was a wonderful choice for us!

Perfect 2br in Great Location

I had 3 friends come in from out of town to visit me in New Orleans. As a resident, I can safely say that Devin’s VRBO spot looks brand new and is nicer than most of my friends’ homes! Very clean and well furnished with everything we needed to have a couple meals in and a few nights out. Spacious living room and kitchen with two private bedrooms. Check in was super convenient, and Devin is very communicative and helpful. A lot of thought went into the place! Mid-city is a fantastic neighborhood, and Devin’s place was within walking distance from some of my favorite restaurants and bars like MoPho and Mick’s. It is SAFE which is a big perk in NOLA. It’s also right next to a grocery store- I mean less than a 5 minute walk. It’s a 5 minute walk one way to City Park and the other way to Bayou St. John and all the fun that comes along with that like Wrong Iron, Bayou Beer Garden, and Parkway Bakery. We could have easily hopped on the streetcar from the place to get to the French Quarter too, but it’s about a 40 minute trolly ride so we drove instead. It was only about a 10 minute drive. The French Quarter is also a nice 20 minute protected bike ride away from Devin’s place just down the Lafitte Greenway Trail- which we would’ve done but it rained. Overall, great place and I would definitely rent with Devin again!

Great home and locatlion

My wife and I really enjoyed staying in this lovely remodeled shotgun home in Mid-City. It is in a great location and close (walking distance) to stores and restaurants. It was nice and quiet while we were staying there. The owner was responsive when I did have a question. This was our second time staying at one of their properties. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a nice neighborhood to stay in while visiting New Orleans.

We had the best time! I love mid city and this house was perfect! The location was ideal to hop on trolley to and drom downtown. Its safe, has everything you need within walking distance. If you are looking to drive, Uber and Lyft are both very easy and cheap throughout the city. We also have the streetcar only a block away which is easy to hop on and off anytime.

Security:
To help keep our guests protected, we have a security camera installed on the front porch which records 24/7 video for the protection of our guests. It covers the front porch, front yard, and part of the street.

Parking:
There is free parking immediately in front of the home and throughout our entire neighborhood. If you have a car, parking on our street is very easy and safe.
