We had a wonderful stay—everything was just as described and even better than expected. The home was clean, comfortable, and well stocked, which made our visit easy and enjoyable. Great views at the end of a dead-end street - little traffic noise. The location worked perfectly for us, and we would gladly return or recommend this place to others.

Lovely decor, view of the lake from the deck, kitchen utensils with nice assortment of pots and pans, comfortable beds and beautiful bathrooms. We visited several parks which were within a 30 minute drive. Would definitely recommend!

Great home. Great view. The lay out of the house was perfect for two couples. One bedroom and bathroom on one end and one bedroom and bath on the other. Really well stocked kitchen. Even small appliances like a crockpot, blender, electric kettle etc. It was even better than advertised.

Great House and Perfect Location

The house was beautiful and spotless. Perfect layout for 2 couples. We enjoyed the deck with the view of the lake the most. It was quiet and a perfect weekend getaway. The driveway is very steep and not paved.

We were 2 couples who came to enjoy wine and food in the Lakes. This place was perfect. We loved that the bedrooms were on opposite sides of the living area. Each couple had their own bathroom. The deck was wonderful for sitting out in the evening. We woke up to deer grazing across the street. This place has everything we needed. Perfect VRBO

Perfect Getaway!

This house was beautiful! Cozy, spotless and well-stocked throughout. Located on a quiet, private road off the beaten path, yet close enough to many local attractions. Our favorite part was watching the sunrises and sunsets from the porch with an amazing view of the lake. The stars were also unbelievable at night! The host was super-responsive and accommodating (especially with our last-minute request to come up a day early!). We are so thankful for the extra time, as the weather was perfect all week. One thing to point out is that the driveway is very steep and unpaved. There's an area to turn around at the top though, so it didn't cause us any problems. We would definitely recommend this home and stay here again!

Beautiful cabin with amazing views

Every morning I woke up to a new view, from fog settled over the lake with snow blowing by, or bright light glinting off shimmering waters, or pinks and oranges reflecting off white snow.The whole house was like that. Expansive, expressive, accomodating, comfortable, and just wonderful to rest and relax in. There were 5 of us, and it never felt crowded, but it always felt cozy when we all came together to watch a movie or cook dinner.I cannot recommend this place enough!

I cannot say enough about this stay, the hosts and their home. If you look at the pictures, it’s exactly the same and more! Their home was super clean and had EVERYTHING you will need for home away from home. I would say your shower soap, shampoo/conditioner, toothpaste and toothbrush along with clothes and food is all you need to walk in with. Their appliances were all like new condition! Their kitchen is complete with EVERYTHING!!!Bedrooms were great with a queen in each room so the place is great for 2 couples. Each bedroom had their own HUGE walk in shower! Living room had nice furniture with reclining Couch, Loveseat and 2 chairs. Very Large porch outback that you can see the lack and beyond. It was snowing when we there but during a little warmer weather, the fire table outside with chairs will be awesome. Driveway is steep but plenty of room for you to park and turnaround. Eileen and Glenn were very quick to respond to all our questions upon arrival. House and switches are well marked do it made life easy. WINERIES- would recommend Hermann Weimer, Ravines and Weis as our top 3 But so many around so explore. We had a great meal if you like Mexican at Casa Mescal in Penn Yan. Close and great food/service. Visited Windmill Creek market - worth the walk around into the little shops. I look forward to going back to that area and would stay there again without hesitation! Thank you Barn and Barrel for a lovely home that made our stay there so wonderful!

Perfect Winter Wonderland!

It was the perfect winter getaway! The home is beautiful, with an open layout that has plenty of space for 4 people. The bathrooms were spacious, the beds and couches were very comfortable, and the kitchen was fully stocked, making it easy to prepare our own meals. We loved waking up to gorgeous sunrises and enjoyed breathtaking views of the lake. It snowed every day during our stay, and it was incredibly peaceful to snuggle up on the couch with coffee and watch the snowfall. We also had fun identifying animal tracks in the snow and taking a quick walk along the short trail behind the house.The driveway was steep and a bit hard to find in the dark, but the hosts had it plowed and salted, so we didn’t have much difficulty navigating it, even without a 4x4 vehicle.We came for a quiet getaway while working remotely, and the internet worked flawlessly for all 4 of us, even during multiple video calls. There’s also a smart TV, Amazon Alexa, and a collection of card and board games to help pass the time.We did venture out a couple of nights for some local fun. Mustangs Pub in Penn Yan offers great trivia on Wednesday nights and karaoke on Friday nights—it was affordable and a lot of fun! The town itself is just a quick 10–15 minute drive, and we found everything we needed there.We also enjoyed a wonderful wine tasting at Keuka Lake Vineyards. There were other wineries open in the area, and nearby Hammondsport looked like it had great restaurants and bars to check out
