If you walk to the other end of the block, you'll be in Takoma Park, Md. One of our friends affectionately refers to this neighborhood as Berkeley Light. Utilities are included. It's located 7-minute (O.3 mi) walk to the Takoma metro (red line). There are also numerous bus stops in the neighborhood.

Starbucks (and several other cafes), Bus Boys & Poets, and a bunch of other restaurants, a weekly farmers market, cycling studio, 2 yoga studios, CVS, a hardware store, bookstore, and a community center with an Olympic size pool are all a 5-minute walk away. A laundry mat, dry cleaners, several nail salons, Whole Foods, Safeway, and a Takoma Co-Op are all within 1 mile. There are 2 great gyms, 2 Walmarts, and a Target within 2 miles.

The Downtown DC, U Street, Columbia Heights, and Brookland neighborhoods, along with downtown Silver Spring, Md, are a short drive away. It's perfect for professionals relocating or on a work assignment.
