We had such a nice time at Indian Summer. The house was probably the cleanest vacation rental we have ever seen—it was like walking into a brand new house.The kitchen was well-appointed. We had everything we needed to prepare our meals.We enjoyed the kayaks, canoes, and the hot tub at the house as well as several of the nearby hiking trails during our stay.Thanks again for a fun and relaxing visit.

This property was exactly how it is pictured on this listings, and that is a very good thing! We had a brief stumble on front door access codes upon our arrival but host was quick to respond and assist, five stars on service! If you are looking for a get-away from the noise and crowds this is a fantastic place to book and stay. Very clean beautifully decorated and stocked with essentials to get you started. Keep in mind cell service is spotty up in the mtns of NC but the internet connection was rock solid in the home. Truly a five star and we enjoyed the evenings on the rear deck and sitting by the dock. Was a little too warm to try out the hot tub or the Sauna during our visit but they were both available and super clean. Thanks to our hosts for a wonderful stay and if we are in the Mill Springs area again we would 100% re-book!

AMAZING HOME! 21 days of four seasons! We had an ice storm, a snow storm and fall & summer weather all in one. Though we tried to escaped Chicago to enjoy the southern winter warmth, that wasn't the plan for Mother Nature. That said, we had the most memorable time at one of the best, if not THE best VRBO homes. The Host's, the design, the amenities, the BEDS - just absolutely everything was above expectations. We look forward to booking our next stay soon!

Luxury Forest Retreat on the Lake

Wow! Every detail was perfect! Upscale, beautiful and comfy house with everything you could want for a fun mountain retreat. Great views, on the lake with canoes and SUP, hot tub with tv, big outdoor deck, upscale kitchen with fancy coffee bar... a long list of amenities that transform a regular stay in a great vacation! Also, easy proximity to other towns in NC. Already plan to return next summer!

House had everything!

We, 4 adults, 2 teens, truly enjoyed our stay. The house had everything! It was beautifully decorated, the kitchen left no utensil or tool to be desired, and there were plenty of fun things to do. We all enjoyed the lake- swimming in it, SUP’ing, canoeing, and kayaking. The hill down to the lake is very steep, but we all managed just fine. The snacks and the coffee/tea bar were fantastic. This house exceeded all expectations- it’s even better than the pictures. The front porch was great for mornings, the back great for evenings. We had a lovely stay in this lovely house.

the house and property are AMAZING!!! was the PERFECT place for a birthday weekend celebration with friends and family. my dog was right at home in the dog crate provided. home furnishings are absolutely beautiful! beds are super comfortable, lake was beautiful with fall colors, rented a pontoon boat from lake lure rentals and they were great. hot tub was fabulous. could go on and on about how perfect the house is ... we are already planning on booking it again for MANY more special occasions in the future. would give it 10 stars if the rating scale went that high for every category. just WOW. what a perfect hidden lake house gem.

I cannot say enough positive things about this property! First off, Andres and Jacqueline were extremely responsive and accommodating, going way above and beyond to make our stay even more elevated. The newly renovated cabin was furnished/outfitted to address all of our needs and wants. It was pleasant having a flat yard to play fetch with our dog and a level driveway us Floridians felt comfortable driving down, but also a waterfront mountain lake property with great views in a quiet, safe neighborhood. I will forever cherish sitting on the front porch enjoying the sunset and watching the fireflies come out, enjoying the slight breeze in the afternoons suntanning on the lake-front dock in the backyard, and late night hot tub soaking followed by playing the infinity game table. We cannot wait til the next time we book here!

breathtaking place this is!!!!

What a breathtaking place this is!Absolutely gorgeous. Immediately as my family and I walked in we felt right at home. The house had everything that made our stay as cozy and comfortable as possible. Towels, bath cloths, extra comforters and pillows and closet hangers! In the bathroom they had complementary shampoo and conditioner and body wash, hair blow dryer and sealed toothbrush w/ paste in case you forgot to take. A kitchen completely Stocked up with cooking and dining utensils,sponge, dish soap,coffee machine alongside the coffee and syrups, laundry room and detergent. We even found a few condiments and packs of water in the pantry. The hosts were also so nice. They are great with communication and made my family and I feel welcome. We will definitely be back to continue making family memories in this place.
