Hi Ashley - We are glad you had a great time! We very much appreciate your positive review of our home and are glad you took the opportunity to use the pool, sledding hill, etc. that Hawk offers. We also love to hang out in the upstairs living area with our family. We agree with your assessment of the steep hill and are careful to recommend, prior to arrival, the proper vehicles to our renters in wintry weather. We are very sorry to hear you were disappointed with your accommodations. We take pride in trying hard to make all of our guests feel satisfied with their stay. We always check with guests within the first 24 hours to make sure they found everything to be OK upon arrival. When we checked with you the reply was: "Yes, everything is fine at the house. Thank you for notes." Therefore, we were very surprised by your post stay comments and 2 star rating. In the six years we have been hosting, we have 26-5 star ratings and 2-4 star ratings. In response to some of your comments: The wide plank natural wood floors are 40+ years old and yes, they do have scuff marks in higher traffic areas. We do not replace the candles on the mantle each time they were lit. The extra clean and folded bedding in the laundry room is there in case guests need extra bedding. We're very sorry if you needed hand rails in the bathrooms. It is something we will consider. However, no place in our listing does it imply that there are hand rails. Again, we are sorry you were disappointed with the accommodations, however, we feel a 2 star rating was not justified.
