Wonderful few day with friends in an absolutely beautiful setting.

We had the best time in this beautiful house with absolutely awesome views. Allison was a wonderful host that checked on us throughout our stay. The home is well stocked with all the essentials. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan on returning in the future.

Lovely, spacious home with a with a large deck & a beautiful lake view. We also very much enjoyed our evening campfires in the fire pit area across the road, especially with all of the free firewood included. Great place for a large group. We would definitely recommend this home.

This property worked perfectly for our girls weekend away! Lots of space so we never felt on top of each other. Those who stayed up later made use of the lower level and ping pong table while the rest of us slept soundly. Beautiful views! Wish we had more time to stay, we were unable to squeeze in time for the fire pit.

House was clean and smelled great upon arrival.Beds were comfortable and towels were soft.Had everything we needed. Lots of room.We forgot to pack coffee, but they had that too.

Father’s Day Weekend

What an amazing place. We had a great time. House was super clean and conveniently located. Fish were biting right off the dock. Even though it rained most of the time, we found things to do. The pool table and arcade game were great. Property managers were very easy to deal with. Zero problems! This was a great way to spend Father’s Day. We will be back.

The view from the deck, access to the lake, and pool table were highlights of this property. The home was spacious, with plenty of sitting areas for entertaining, though the queen and twin bedrooms were quite cramped with low ceilings. The loft bed was a nice addition, and is placed in a tree-covered area of the house, so the person sleeping there didn't find that it got too light early in the morning. There were a few minor disappointments - we found glass on the deck, which was concerning, and the cushions for the deck furniture had been stored inside, but they were wet and a bit dirty when we went to put them outside.Overall the home was a relatively comfortable rental for two nights and was a good home base for our family gathering.

Thank you so much, Lauren. We tried to figure out how the cushions would appear wet since we require them to be set inside to avoid being dirty and it hadn't rained in weeks. I also checked the cameras to ensure the decks were swept before arrival which they were- I'm so sorry there was a piece of glass missed! We hope to host you again. :)

My husband and I are older adults. We did not realize the length of the stairs to access the dock/lake. Both of us had enough knee pain that we didn't go down to the water the last day. Better connections between owner and vrbo should have included info about the BBQ grill. We asked and were told it was a charcoal grill, so we bought and brought charcoal and starter. Our youngest grandchild is 6 mo old. The amount of space to put up a portacrib was so limited, her dad slept in the open bed. Lovely lake!!! Nice dock and great toys!

Awesome place and loved the blizzard!!

This timber frame Construction home truly gave you the nostalgia of country living. We came down to Marion to hunt ducks in the middle of a blizzard with five hard-core hunters. The place was perfect for all of us to spread out. The baseboard heat in the basement wasn’t quite enough to keep that part of the house warm. Other than that, we were shocked that propane tanks were not included with the gas grill. However, thank you to our wonderful host Alison her husband provided a propane tank of his own and drove through a blizzard to deliver it. I can’t say enough good things about Alison managing this place. Once we realized we had parking for our trucks across the street. It worked out perfectly. Unfortunately I didn’t get to appreciate the beautiful view because we were gone when it was dark and returned when it was dark. My son, however, stayed home one day and said it was Incredible and breathtaking. Just know it’s a very long drive back to the house on a winding hilly road. This is not a big deal of course unless there’s a blizzard. This of course added to the fun and makes you feel like a real expedition team. Let’s not forget the deer show every time you leave the house. The wood-burning stove was the highlight of this place and gave you that warm lodge feel that you dream of when you go to a winter cabin. They supplied everything you needed to cook and clean and I give this place a five star.
