The Space:
The Sand Wedge, including a lovely golf weather vane, pays tribute to a father who cherished both the game of golf and the beauty of the sea. The family wishes to share this special place, inviting people to create wonderful memories along this stunning stretch of shoreline. They’ve lovingly put every detail into making this home the perfect retreat for families or friends at the beautiful Moody Beach in Wells, Maine. Upon arriving at the home, you'll step into the wonderful garage and ground floor level! This area exhibits a delightful under-the-sea adventure for the kiddos, featuring a wave wall and fun hands on activities. It's spacious enough for family movie nights or playing board games. Off this bonus room, you'll find the first of four cozy bedrooms which includes two twin beds, a closet, and a convenient half bath. Plus, the washer and dryer, along with drying space, are conveniently located on this floor. The stairway leading up to the main level is a another charming tribute to Joe- known for his red socks on Sundays. Once you enter the main level, you'll find the second bedroom, the only one on this floor, tastefully decorated and offering two new twin beds along with an office space and plenty of room for your personal belongings. A full bath is positioned next to this bedroom, accessible for everyone on the main floor. The simple and tasteful decor encourages relaxation, making it a cozy spot to take a nap on a cloudy day or unwind away from the summer sun. The large dining area and table provide ample space to gather and enjoy meals with a crew. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to whip up a delightful seafood feast along with all the little extras. You will absolutely stepping out onto the spectacular wraparound deck, where there’s so much space to relax and soak in the ocean views and the moon rising in the evening. The stairs to the third floor lead to the primary suite, featuring a sitting area and a sliding door that opens to a deck with seating for two—a nice little hideaway! The spacious primary bathroom complementing this suite includes a full walk-in closet. The king-size bed provides comfort, allowing you to drift off while listening to the soothing sound of crashing waves—it's like a natural sound machine! This room is very bright (faces the east- sunrises) and may not allow for light sleepers to sleep in. The second and final bedroom includes two queen-size beds, a full closet, and a charming little area for getting ready.
The garage has everything you might need for a perfect day at the beach! You'll find 8 Tommy Bahama beach chairs, a beach wagon, a Yeti cooler, and plenty of boogie boards and beach toys to enjoy. The space offers parking for 5 cars. There is no parking allowed on the streets. Please contact us if more parking would be needed.
