Absolutely gorgeous pet friendly cottage, set in a beautiful village and everyone was so friendly. The cottage is exactly as listed if not better. Everything you need for a comfortable home from home family holiday. We went with our two grown up daughters and our dog, it was loved by all. The village is a lovely place to explore with the dog. Unfortunately we didn't get to eat at the Angel cafe but their iced caramel latte was delicious. Would throughly recommend this beautiful cottage and we will be back. Thank you to Ruben for all his help from booking to check in.

Beautiful home

We had a perfect stay here, beautiful home in a beautiful village. Well equipped cottage, great size living and sleeping spaces. It was clean, tidy and high quality - super comfy beds and sofas for relaxing! The owners were very communicative and we had an amazing time! Can't wait to visit again!

A home away from home

A spacious cottage in a lovely village it has all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. The well appointed kitchen has all the appliances you need and is great for a large family. With a well stocked shop across the road and a lovely friendly pub just down the street it was so convenient.We had a wonderful visit ,it reallly felt like a home away from home.The locals were very friendly and the host was great and promptly answered all of our questions and was very informative.Definitely a place I would recommend for a lovely holiday.

We had the most wonderful stay in Sherston. The house is a quintessential Cotswold cottage, and exactly what we were hoping for. Rupert is an excellent host, and communication was quick and easy. The bedrooms are all surprisingly large, and the kitchen was very well equipped. I am from the Cotswolds and knew exactly what to expect. For others unfamiliar with homes of this age, the stairs may be a surprise, as they are quite steep and winding, and require care navigating. Overall we had a fantastic stay and highly recommend this home. Thank you, Rupert.

Old Swan Time

The Old Swan Cottage is a charming rental with all the necessities plus a wine refrigerator and an awesome fireplace in the living room.It is comfortable for 6 and will accommodate 8. Communication with the owner is 1st class. The village of Sherston has an excellent grocery store, Pub and abbey and is conveniently located for access to many of Cotswolds most interesting sights.

An old house in an old village

Beautiful house in a peaceful village. Parking wasn't a problem. Only a short walk to the Co-Op, where all our grocery needs were met. Kitchen very well equipped, and we felt quite at home. The local pub, the Rattlebone (spelling?) serves excellent food. One thing worth mentioning is that the floors upstairs in this very old house are uneven in places, and that, and the spiral staircases, might make it unsuitable for the elderly or infirm. I'm 76, and I coped, just about.

Hi Judith - many thanks for the review and feedback. I’m pleased you enjoyed the house, village and local pub. Thank you for mentioning the wonky floors and winding staircase; as you say it is certainly an old building! It dates back to the 16th Century and is a former coaching Inn. Luckily it is undergone renovation and restoration since, but some features like the floors, staircase and low ceilings cannot be significantly changed being Grade II* listed, so it may not be suitable for everyone.

Das Haus war genau so wie beschrieben - alt, aber sehr gut in Schuss, und alles hat funktioniert. Die Küche war gut ausgestattet, nicht nur mit Tellern & Töpfen etc., sondern auch z.B. mit Mehl, Zucker, Öl, Gewürzen, was für uns als Flugreisende sehr angenehm war.Wir haben eine schöne Woche im Cottage verbracht und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.
