We went for a family ski vacation and couldn’t have loved it more. The location is perfect. Close enough to attractions like skiing at Smugglers Notch, Stowe, or Jay Peak all 15-60 minutes away respectively. The location is nice and quiet so you can get to bed early if that’s your thing. The weather was pretty bad when we were coming in. Saw several cars that had slid off the road just before town. However the roads to the unit were well maintained and we had no issues traversing them. If you’re looking for a big nightlife scene, you’re not going to find it in town, you’ll have to drive to one of the resorts. Most everything around closes by 8 PM. We had a mixed group of people who were early risers and night owls and it was difficult to find things for the night owls to eat after 8 PM but our unit had a full kitchen so we just made sure to stock the fridge and cabinets so we could cook for ourselves. That said, we did drive into St. Albans and it had more night life. The only issue we had was, and this is REALLY nitpicking, there weren’t enough towels for all of us to take showers more than once without having to wash and dry them so we could reuse them. Now this is our first stay in a short term rental longer than 3 days so maybe that’s typical since we had 7 people in our party for 7 days. But again, not a big deal. We just washed and dried some towels. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it if you want some laid back fun.
