Geprüft und lizenziert.
Neu im Jahr 2017 renoviert - Rustic Cabin mit modernen Annehmlichkeiten. Große offene Küche / Ess- / Wohnbereich. Privates Schlafzimmer auf der Hauptebene mit Queensize-Bett und direktem Zugang zum Badezimmer. Das Badezimmer hat eine große, schöne, geflieste Dusche.
Wenn Sie gerne in der Natur duschen, haben wir eine Außendusche mit heißem Wasser hinzugefügt und abgedeckt, damit Sie auch genießen können! Groß für schlammige Füße und schmutzige Haustiere auch. Geräumige Loftbereiche mit zusätzlichem Loft. Das erste Schlafzimmer hat ein schönes Queen-Holzbett und drei Einzelbetten und ist jetzt mit einem Scheunentor geschlossen. Zweites Loft-Schlafzimmer wurde im Jahr 2017 ebenfalls umschlossen und verfügt nun über ein Queen- und ein Twin-Bett. Das neue offene Loft ist eine gemütliche Sitzecke mit einem Futon für zusätzlichen Schlafplatz. Französisch Türen im Wohnbereich öffnen sich zu einer überdachten Veranda mit Platz für viele unterhaltsame und entspannende. Sie können die beruhigenden Geräusche von Bear Creek von der Veranda und der Feuerstelle (Brennholz zur Verfügung gestellt) hören. Schöne Aussicht rundherum!

We fly-fished the stream, built fires every night under stars, enjoyed the early morning mist and appreciated meeting Barry, who is a great and accommodating host. The cabin suited us perfectly, comfortably, and was just far enough away from but accessible to La Farge and Viroqua. Loved it!

All I can say is WOW! Barry is a great host and he was so easy to work with. Communication was great and he always got back to me within a few hours with the answers to my questions. The cabin was very clean and it was stocked with everything you will need to make your stay enjoyable. I brought up my mom, 79, and 3 golden retrievers who loved it up there, I could not keep them out of the creek and they played from morning till night. We took walks along the trails that Barry had mowed for us and they loved it, They had endless freedom. My mom just sat back and relaxed and enjoyed the amazing views. Definitely a 10 for us and we will be back. Thank you Barry for being such a wonderful host.

We cannot say enough kind words about Barry and his incredible hospitality. Unsurpassed by any previous host/hostess (and we’ve stayed at many)! He made sure we had absolutely everything necessary to relax and enjoy this beautiful, quiet, and very well-maintained property. There are plenty of clean linens, cookware, firewood and beds that are comfortable. We made the hour drive to the Dells but honestly kids (ages 8 & 10) would have rather stayed and played in the stream. 10/10 highly recommend (but hate to, for fear it won’t be available when we are ready to visit again). Thank you, Barry for a spectacular experience and family vacation we will cherish! Continue to do what you love and all will see you love what you do.

Barry’s Bear Creek Retreat was just incredible! My girlfriend and I brought our dog to get away and relax and we were more than surprised at the serenity and beauty of this place. Our dog fully enjoyed running through the fields and creek and seeing cows and horses for the first time!Barry was an amazing host and reached out a couple times to check in to see if we needed anything. But there was nothing to request since it is well stocked with anything you could possibly need, and more. Plus, the grounds were very well maintained and the house was spotless! It was an absolutely perfect place for our long weekend away from home!

This was such a beautiful and relaxing place to spend a few days. Everything was so family friendly. The creek provided hours of entertainment and the outdoor firepit and chairs were amazing. The smaller creature comforts were so appreciated by the adults (comfortable bed and sheets, a great outdoor shower to rinse kids off, a reclinable couch...) . The owners were available, local and so helpful! Can't wait to come back and would highly recommend this stay! Thanks for having us!

Upon arrival we found the property and grounds in impeccable condition. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked with information and necessities that would ensure a comfortable stay. We were contacted prior to our stay and greeted upon arrival just to verify that our needs and expectations were met. The grounds and creek were top notch; the views exceptional. Very comfortable accommodations with the outdoor shower, good fishing, and daily walks around the lovely grounds standout experiences! We hope to make Bear Creek Retreat a frequent destination. Barry was the BEST Host we have ever had! Took his binoculars outta his truck for us to use to watch the wildlife. Loved the outside shower, outside seating for all 9 of us, 1 bathroom was no problem. Went tubing with Kickapoo wild adventure, so Fun. Great host, great property, one of our best stays!

Perfection!

The feel of this cabin is that you're staying at your uncle's cabin; everything you may need is available and is nice and it's so well done that you want to respect the home to respect the owner. Husband and kids had great luck fishing & we had a blast tubing down the stream. My 8 year old said it was the best vacation, ever. He's not wrong, thank you!

Wonderful Stay!

Had a great time at this place even though the temperatures were in the upper 90's. The creek was refreshing for a dip. The property is really nice, well taken care of and has lots to do. Definitely a place I would recommend to others!

Our Heaven Away from Home

We have stayed at this property for four or five years now. We LOVE this annual get away with family. The cabin has all the accommodations we need but the best part is the fishing and view from the porch and fire pit while listening to the stream. It is so peaceful. The added bags game was a nice touch this year! We will be back:-)

Perfect venue for family time

This is our 5th year staying here—Barry is such a great host—stopping over to make sure there was kindling and split firewood. We enjoyed walks along the stream, steaks on the grill, and good rest. Cheers!!

Like a warm hug

Wonderfully placed along a sparkling creek in an ocean of corn and vivid autumn landscapes, this cabin is clean and welcoming! It had everything we needed! Luscious sofa where all 5 of us mothers/daughters could sit and chat, all things for cooking and eating, plenty of comfortable beds and blankets, nice shower, and we enjoyed the indoor gas fireplace and outdoor firepit complete with sunsets. Everything worked. We felt right at home and I'd love to go back (like right now!). The host is great, too. We had a fun visit in nearby Viroqua: farmers' market and vintage shops, but took extra time to relax at the cabin.

One of our favorite places

This is our fourth stay and we have such a blast every time. The property is beautiful, the kids love exploring the creek, and we love relaxing outside. It’s always incredibly clean and well maintained, and Barry is great to work with. I hope for many more long summer weekends at Bear Creek in the future!

The Kickapoo Valley has a special place in our hearts as we grew up here and came back to raise our family in this beautiful area. We have three grown boys who love to visit and enjoy the Kickapoo Valley and all it has to offer. We love to share this unique property with family and friends and welcome you to join us too.

We purchased this piece of land several years ago from friends and neighbors, and built the cabin bit by bit over the years with the help of many friends, family, and local craftsmen. We enjoy it's beauty and want to share it with you!

This setting is like no other. We have a top quality trout stream steps from the front door. Abundant wildlife in every season. The views are gorgeous all around. There is nothing more relaxing than sitting on the porch, watching the wildlife, hearing the sounds of Bear Creek trickling by, enjoying a fire in the fire pit after dark, and just relaxing.
