Everything about this place was perfect. Great host communication, clean pool and house. The river, the yard, the porch were a perfect combination for a relaxing trip. We will definitely be back. Beautiful spot!

Kristin was an amazing host, and always there for any of our needs. Had our first family vacation with all the adult children, and we could not have been happier. The house has anything you will need, and if for some reason it doesn’t Kristin will do her very best to get it for you. Had a great time, and we truly loved the property. We had a guys weekend here and loved every second of it! The hosts do so many things to make you feel right at home the second you walk in. Everything is organized and clean. The instructions for checking in and out are simple and communicated perfectly. We brought our own kayaks and had an easy time getting them down to the lake. The pool is a great size and it’s very well maintained. The amenities were above and beyond! The host was wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed. This was the best rental experience I’ve ever had, personally!

Family vacation

We chose to have our annual family vacation with our grown children at our first ever salt water pool. The property was well appointed and Kristin was a pleasure through the entire experience of booking, checking in and checking out. We could not be happier with our choice.

It is great to know families of all ages can come enjoy our home as if it is your own! We make it our aim to have a space where, like our family has enjoyed, the grandparents, even great grandparents & little grandkids can all feel comfortable in a place spending time all being together! & Super special is for holidays! This property and the host were amazing! We had a wonderful trip. The pool is so big everyone could play and not feel cramped. There were plenty of gatherings spaces for everyone to be together playing games, swimming or having a fire. The house was clean and so well stocked. We cook at home to save on vacation and there was everything we could have needed. The views over the lake watching the sunrise with coffee on the covered deck was perfect. Our host checked in and was always helpful, you can tell she really loved sharing this home with other families. If you are looking for fun experiences near by we enjoyed Creature Feature zoo (kind of an exotic animal petting zoo) which was a 25 min drive and hiking to a gorgeous waterfall and swimming hole at Stinging Fork Falls which was about a 40 minute drive. We ended up spending most of the time at the house playing games or playing in the lake or pool because we were having too much fun to leave. We had 3 generations there and everyone wants to return :)

This lake house was so clean and comfortable. The host was the absolute best host we have ever had. She was so thoughtful, adding special touches, that made our stay exceptional. We had so much fun, making memories that will last a lifetime. My husband & I (from PA) wanted a place to spend time with our son, our daughter & son in law and 4 of their children (who live in TN). We went swimming in the salt water pool, went into the hot tub, played pool and many family games. We stayed at the lake house, leaving as little as possible. The guys went fishing and caught some catfish (6#, 13# & 20#). We roasted hit dogs & marshmallows over the lakeside fire pit. Made s'mores. We can't say enough good things about our stay. The grandkids hated to leave and asked if we could go here again next year. Don't hesitate to rent this lake house. It's really fantastic!

This is a GREAT property with a FANTASTIC host! My siblings and I (ranging in ages 56-65) get together once a year, and this year we selected this home for our reunion. We weren't disappointed.A few notes for those using this review to decide if this property is right for them:1. The house sits next door to the host's home, so if you're looking for a place without neighbors, this might not work for you. 2. The home has a giant back yard that abuts the lake. There is a large fire pit between the home and the lake. If you plan to use it, I recommend buying pre-split logs to burn.3. On the main floor, there are two bedrooms - one with a private bath. The remaining beds, including one private bedroom, are located downstairs. The stairs to the downstairs are VERY steep. If you have mobility issues, you can access the downstairs from outside.4. The kitchen, dining, and living room area is open concept - perfect for cooking and hanging out together.5. Decatur, with grocery shopping (Piggly Wiggly), bowling, etc. is about 20 minutes away. Mini-golf is in Athens, about 30 minutes away.6. The main t.v. is mounted over a fireplace, and so connecting HDMI (X-Box, laptop, etc.) can be a challenge for shorter people.7. The home is on a septic system, so no wet-wipes! 8. The large covered deck at the rear of the house is perfect for sitting and drinking coffee. There is lots of seating out there.9. We didn't use the pool or hot tub.Bottom line - a great place at a fair price!

This is a lovely home and very convenient to everything the area has to offer. Beautiful lakefront property on Chickamauga Lake and close to the dam and lock to Watts Barr Lake. The hosts are very helpful and easy to reach. Home is extremely well stocked with everything we needed. Crystal clear pool was a bonus on an hot weekend. Our group of 11 had plenty of space to spread out and we had a wonderful time! Will be back!
