Guests can enjoy the entire property with the exception of the garage.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
All streaming services require users to log in with their own accounts to access content and maintain personalized viewing experiences.

Built in 1924, Linden House retains many of its original features, all of which are functional but may operate differently from modern constructions. The original double-hung windows, complete with their counterbalance system requires a delicate touch and some windows will not have screens. Doors, handles and hardware throughout the home reflect the craftsmanship of the time, but may stick or need a little finesse. The original hardwood floors are in great shape, but show signs of 100 years of use. Although modern updates have been made these historic elements remain and add to the home's charm.

Amazing Parents Weekend

The Linden house was a perfect place to stay for Parent’s Weekend! We had plenty of room to have our kids come visit so we could feed them and get to spend some quality time playing games and hanging out. The decor is beyond perfect for all IU fans. We can’t wait to go back.

We had a fantastic stay! The house was perfect for entertaining our group, with plenty of space and lots of indoor and outdoor games to keep the kids busy. The outdoor area was a great place to relax and spend time together. The owners clearly paid attention to every detail—we especially loved the well-stocked coffee bar. They were also very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We would definitely stay here again!

Amazing for our large group!

Our group of 13 LOVED this house! The Linden house has everything! It is equipped with anything you might need during your stay -from a super durable outdoor speaker, to an air mattress that came with a headboard, to lawn games and firewood. The backyard had such a fun space to hangout. They did not skimp on anything! There was plenty of space for everyone to sleep. The decor and finishes were so impressive. We could not stop talking about the little details and finishes that made the house beautiful. The location is perfect. We were able to walk to the restaurants on Kirkwood and any point on campus from the house. We did not need anything during our stay, but the owners were very responsive and reached out to make sure everything was going smoothly.

Our stay at Linden House was amazing from the minute we booked our trip. We were in Bloomington for a week to help our son who was starting at IU as a freshman. Nicole and Brad reached out from before with recommendations and tips, they even offered for us to send some things to the house since we were traveling from out of the state. The house is equipped with everything you might think of, the kitchen is great and had everything we needed. We were not able to use any of the outdoor amenities because we were busy with the move in but we would love to stay here again whenever we go again!! The house is so charming, they really did think of every little detail for the guests, they had waters and even snacks ready for when we arrived, there really are no words for the kind of thoughtful and exceptional hosts that they are. The location is great, just one block from the university and close to so many food options and downtown. Thank you Nicole and Brad for hosting us in this beautiful property and for making our trip so special!

Best Mom's Weekend House

Wonderful home for mom's if 5 college roomates and fraternity brothers. Boys could hangout at the house with us plenty of space. Large enough to host a brunch with mom's & sons. We were lucky to have warm weather in February and use the outdoor space. They thought of everything you need to have a quintessential Indiana experience. Must rent!

What a fabulous experience at Linden House in Bloomington! I only wish I'd found this when my kids were still students at Indiana. Hosts were timely in responding, flexible with our check-in and parking plans, and super helpful in making our friend's birthday one for the books. The photos don't do it justice! We used every sleeping space available for our large party and everyone was comfortable (great beds & linens). Walkable to all the fun places we visited. Highly recommend this or any other property offered by this host. Thanks again!

Great Stay

We were in town for a Hoosiers basketball game. The house was perfect and within walking distance to both the game and Kirkwood. Too many amenities and special touches to mention. We had plenty of room to spread out and especially enjoyed the game room. Character galore! Our kids are now begging for a record player like the one in the basement. We hope to be back to fully take advantage of the house and outdoor space when the weather is nicer.

Absolutely awesome place. Exactly as advertised. It would have been a 10/10 on location and house condition alone, but the owners think of everything to make the stay incredible. It’s clear that they really want your stay in Bloomington to be memorable.Besides the incredible kindness/thoughtfulness…the attention to detail is also extraordinary — even all the way down to phone shedding cables (both USB C and older versions) on each bedside nightstand. The games were great as was the backyard.I definitely hope to stay here again with my family.

Fantastic Historic House

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Not only was it very clean, but there were plenty of unique unique and thoughtful touches including games and blankets for around the firepit. It's clear that the owners have thought of everything you could possibly need. We loved the gaming room and overall design of the shared spaces and bedrooms. The outdoor area is very inviting and the landscape was beautiful! I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this house if you have a large group staying in the Bloomington area!

Absolutely Perfect Stay at Linden House!

Linden House was the perfect spot for our college girls’ reunion weekend in Bloomington! From the moment we arrived, it felt like the ultimate Hoosier home - thoughtfully designed, beautifully decorated, and full of Indiana University charm. Every detail was clearly planned with care, from the cozy spaces to the IU-themed touches that made us nostalgic for our campus days. The house had everything we needed (and then some!) - plenty of space to gather, laugh, and catch up, plus all the modern comforts that made it feel like home. No detail was missed, and it was spotless, stylish, and simply perfect for our group. We can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Bloomington. Linden House set the bar high for reunion trips! ❤️

Gorgeous Historical Home in Bloomington

Our extended family enjoyed the holidays in this beautiful 1920s, renovated home. The hosts were very prompt and responsive in all communications. The home included thoughtful amenities, and the decor and furniture choices were all beautiful. We all enjoyed the games, arcade, pool table, darts, and air hockey. The bedding was high end, and we all slept well. While the kitchen was small for today's standards, it added to the charm of the historic home, and was stocked with everything we needed to make home cooked meals. The outdoor spaces were inviting and would be great for warmer temps. Everyone in our party loved the home, except for our Boilermaker alum, Ha. We will definitely consider staying here again. (Go Hoosiers!)

We couldn’t have asked for a better stay! The home itself was unique and beautiful and it’s clear the owners have invested so much thought into making the house a wonderful escape for whoever visits. Though the weather wasn’t on our side for to enjoy Lake Monroe, but only for one day, the house was perfect enough to keep everyone occupied and enjoy some relaxation. We utilized every bit of the kitchen and enjoyed grilling our burgers and hotdogs, cooked an amazing breakfast on the grill, made a shrimp boil and then ordered some amazing pizza from Goodfellas. We spent two of our evenings enjoying the firepit while talking and listening to the music. They have a Bluetooth speaker, so it was perfect to have with us outside. They also have cornhole and other outdoor games available. They seriously have thought of everything to ensure your stay is perfect (little snacks, games, laundry detergent sheets, hygiene essentials, etc). We had 4 adults and 6 kids (ages 6-19) and it was more than enough room and we never felt like we were on top of one another. The owners were very easy to communicate with and did everything they could to ensure our stay was perfect and memorable. We will absolutely stay there again!

Hello! We're Nicole and Brad, a family with deep ties to Bloomington and a passion for hospitality. Brad, an IU alumnus and Indiana native, grew up immersed in Hoosier traditions and knows all the local favorites - from Nick's English Hut to the Bluebird. While Nicole, originally from California, fell in love with Bloomington's charm - the liveliness of Kirkwood Ave., the serene beauty of Dunn Woods and the campus' remarkable architecture that combines history and character.

We're a family of six, with twin daughters following in their dad's footsteps at IU Class of 2029, a curious and imaginative daughter entering 1st grade, and an energetic five-year-old son. Our two lovable dogs round out our busy household in Carmel, IN. Hosting gives us the joy of meeting new people, sharing our favorite parts of Bloomington and creating a memorable experience for every guest.

At Linden House, we've carefully designed a space that blends luxury and comfort, perfect for IU events, family getaways, or peaceful escapes. We look forward to making your stay special!

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

What we love most about Elm Heights is its perfect blend of history, community and accessibility. The tree-lines streets are not only visually stunning but also provide a peaceful retreat, just minutes from the hustle and bustle of campus. The neighborhood's rich architectural history, with a mix of charming vintage homes and modern updates, gives it a timeless appeal. Among the neighbors, you'll find IU professors, graduate students and members of the vibrant Greek community.

We also appreciate the walkability of Elm Heights. Being able to easily stroll to campus, Kirkwood Ave, and downtown Bloomington makes it incredibly convenient to visitors. Whether its grabbing a coffee at a local cafe, pizza at Mother Bear's, attending an IU event, or simply enjoying the natural beauty of the area, Elm Heights offers the perfect location for all of it. There's something special about being so close to the heart of IU but still nestled in a neighborhood that feels like a quiet retreat.
